Okapuka Lodge
[edit]Okapuka Lodge is one of Namibia’s many Lodges that will take your breath away. This lodge is situated 30km north of Windhoek the capital city of Namibia. Okapuka Lodge is one of the well approved Lodges in Namibia; they have their annual management reviews with Namibian Standard Institution.[1]
It is mostly used for an overnight stop for those arriving or departing to the Windhoek International Airport, Hosea Kutako Airport.[2] On arrival to this Lodge, a helicopter ride awaits you, where a beautiful view of the Lodge awaits you. The Lodge has different kind of species that can be seen from the helicopter ride, this can also be seen on game rides.
A restaurant and bar is also made available on the lodge but only separated by nature with a water and rock cascade. The restaurant offers local game dishes and sumptuous desert, All prepared with recipes handed down from generation to generation.The Hyena bar is made of wood from the Camelthorn tree, covered by a huge thatched, dome roof. It is one of the guests favourite spot on the Lodge not only for the attraction of the eye but for the range of alcohol they sell in there, Hyena bar has it all, from South African wine to Windhoek Larger brewed at the Namibian Breweries,[3] it also offers different range of liqueurs, sherries and brandies.
The Lodge is not only known for its leisure but for their formal venues as well, there is a conference room that can accommodate 50 people, and there is also a Launge and the Pool Lapa which is an informal outside venue for 15 people maximun.
