Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Guz34. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Callum Watson (musician), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Longhair\talk 11:52, 5 December 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm not affiliated with this subject. It's just one of the many Australian composer pages I actively edit. Cheers, Guz34 (talk) 02:04, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
Nomination of Fringe Sundays for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Fringe Sundays is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fringe Sundays until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Longhair\talk 12:01, 5 December 2018 (UTC)
Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8))
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Fringe Sundays. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 01:52, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
My mistake, misread the AfD, cheers,Guz34 (talk) 02:00, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
You say you are independent of this topic. May I ask how you came to photograph the subject as per your recent upload to commons and your image description of it being "your own work?" You also refer to the author as being Callum Watson Enterprises. That's hardly independent. See here. -- Longhair\talk 03:49, 6 December 2018 (UTC)
- Hi again, that is my misunderstanding. I took it off his website hence I labelled it Callum Watson Enterprises. Its certainly not mine. I'm just here to update Australian composers - someone has to! Since I have mistakenly put it under my ownership I will remove the image in good faith. Cheers again. Guz34 (talk)
- I've requested the image be deleted due to being a copyright violation. You cannot simply lift images from websites for use at Wikipedia unless they are made available under an appropriate licence. -- Longhair\talk 04:37, 6 December 2018 (UTC)

[edit]This account has been blocked indefinitely as a sock puppet that was created to violate Wikipedia policy. Note that using multiple accounts is allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that all edits made while evading a block or ban may be reverted or deleted. If this account is not a sock puppet, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below. The article David Chisholm (composer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Subject of article fails general notability guidelines and WP:CREATIVE.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Citrivescence (talk) 05:33, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
