Cleanup
[edit]Hey. I'm going to clean up your userpage a little bit, just grammar and whatnot, some styling tweaks. For some tips, try Wikipedia:Userpage and WP:UB. DoomsDay349 22:19, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
RE:Edited Articles
[edit]OK; that's good. A couple of tips, firstly you should remember to use proper grammar (capitalize letters, periods in correct places, etc., etc.,) as it makes reading easier for everyone. Next, always sign your comments, I saw that you corrected that, good. Finally, I strongly suggest you read the tutorial for advice on Wikimarkup and some other good stuff that'll help when you write a new article. Good luck! DoomsDay349 23:35, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Indeed. By the way, don't put a space before your messages, as it produces it in an annoying gray box. Just start from the beginning, and when you add a new message to the same discussion, put a colon (:) there to indent. Normal indenting doesn't work. DoomsDay349 23:39, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
RE:How do I do that?
[edit]OK; lots of questions. The template box is . Add that with the "{"s at the top of your talk page to get it to come up. As to how do you title things, I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean what should the words in a title be, that's dependent on what is in the article. If you're talking about creating titles, it goes like this: place two equal signs (=) followed by the text followed by two equals for headline text. Like this: ==Text==. For subsections, do ===Subtitle Text===. For further subsections, just keep adding an equal sign. Article is spelled A-R-T-I-C-L-E. About M16s, what do you mean? Not sure exactly what you're talking about. And yes, your userpage is funny :). DoomsDay349 00:32, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think you mean the history page. No, no one really edits the history page, but when you edit anything else, it shows up in the history with your name next to it. So, anything and everything you do will be logged. BEWARE! Also, Esperanza is a group of people who try to spread civility and friendliness throughout Wikipedia; I'm very active in it, and there is currently a huge reform movement that I'm working with some people on. You have to have 150 edits to join though :( sorry but when you do feel free to come by and sign up. That requirement might change, though, so if it does I'll let you know. Feel free to read up on Esperanza at the main Esperanza page. DoomsDay349 01:18, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
Re:More questions
[edit]Oi, these questions never stop! :) OK, let's see...the barnstar awards are awards I've gotten from other users to recognize my contributions to Wikipedia. Esperanza is a group that promotes civility through both example and going out of their way to make new users feel welcome, as well as by being kind to fellow users. Your quote: "you go around and edit peoples stuff. What does that mean? Sockpuppets are multiple accounts controlled by one user; sometimes they are allowed, but many times they are way of evading a ban from editing. If you delete content, it's still an edit to delete it, so yes. Continually editing your userpage, as long as it has a purpose, is totally fine, and counts towards your edit count. If you want to see your editcount, go here. Incidentally, not all your edits will show up on the bottom menus; only articles you've edited a lot will come up. RE:Questions
[edit]OK; let's see. Firstly, pictures; if you want to add an existing image, it's as simple as this. Place , replacing example with the name of the image you want to use. There are certain images that are in the public domain, meaning you can use them whereever you want, however some are "fair use", which have special restrictions. These are copyrighted images you can only use in very specific articles. So, then, say you wanted to put an image of a pie onto a page. You would type on the page, wherein you could also put the "|" sign, without the "s, and put in a caption on the image. It would produce the following image.
To upload a new image, I really don't do that at all, but you can ask a friend of mine, User:ReyBrujo, who is a very good person and is nice to new users. Mention my name and I'm sure he'll get back to you. DoomsDay349 02:42, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Note you might also want to do this: When adding an image, you can align it or make it small, by putting either |left or |right after the main image, and then also |thumb will shrink it. These can follow each other, so something like Image|left|thumb|caption is possible. DoomsDay349 02:44, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
Re: Hi!
[edit]Hello there, and welcome to Wikipedia! Sorry for the delay, but apparently I buried your talk without knowing. Any question you may have, feel free to contact me at my talk page. Good luck! -- ReyBrujo 17:45, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Re: hi
[edit]Hello there! To upload an image, you can either first upload the image, and then wikilink it, or wikilink it first, and then upload it. The easiest way is to take the second method.
- First, add in the article you want to put the image. Note that images can be used in the article namespace if they are licensed under fair use. Replace ASDF.jpg with the name of the image you want to upload. You can get sure there is no image with that name by typing http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Image:ASDF.jpg (replacing ASDF.jpg with the name of the image you want to upload).
- Once you have created the wikilink in the article, and saved it, click on it. You should arrive to a page stating there is no such image, and telling you can upload it. Click the upload hyperlink.
- You should reach a page similar to Special:Upload. Here choose the image you want to upload, the license, and add information about where you found it, if you have created it yourself, etc. If you don't add that information, the image will be deleted.
- After you accept, you will get a note that the image has been successfully uploaded. Just go back to the article, and the image should be there. You can resize it by specifying the size in pixels, like in .
If you have more questions, see Wikipedia:Image use policy, Wikipedia:Uploading images and Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Good luck! -- ReyBrujo 02:41, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Calm down
[edit]OK, dude, what's the problem? What do you need? I'll help you. DoomsDay349 03:39, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- Listen, tell me what is wrong, I don't need the same message three times. What's wrong? DoomsDay349 03:44, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- Problem solved. DoomsDay349 03:57, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- The subject was unnotable for it's own article, so I created a redirect to the album it appears on. Also, my friend, you'll want to refrain from that sort of language when dealing with other users. DoomsDay349 04:06, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- When you used it, you said it in an accusatory and angry tone. The method in which I am using it is purely humorous. Now, listen. There are policies that govern Wikipedia, in this case WP:NOTABILITY. The song you have posted is not notable enough for its own article. The song hell was recorded but not released on the album, therefore it is related. Therefore, it can redirect there. DoomsDay349 04:21, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Unicycling
[edit]No I don't (I wish! :D) Do you go on unicyclist.com? If so, what's your username? I might recognize it. I used to go on there as unitoon, but I've sort of stopped. What level are you? What unicycle do you have? --Theunicyclegirl (talk, review me!) 20:49, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- Flute, a little piano, a little bass guitar. Do I know you? --Theunicyclegirl (talk, review me!) 21:49, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
Really can't help
[edit]Since I don't listen to music, I really can't judge. Everyone's gonna have an opinion. So my suggestion is to put up a vote for either nu metal or alt. metal, have everyone state their opinion, close it after a week, when it's done, decide on the result even if it isn't what you liked and revert any changes otherwise. That's the best that I can do. DoomsDay349 21:04, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- A) Don't call them Shitheads. That's offensive and can be taken as a personal attack. B) You consider them nu-metal. If this conversation is even hapenning then there are probably varying sources; some will call it nu-metal, others alternative metal. Go with my suggestion to find a peaceful solution. Go with personal attacks and revert wars and that gets you nowhere. DoomsDay349 21:54, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- You already proposed the discussion, or you proposed the immediate change to nu metal? There's a key difference. DoomsDay349 22:01, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Propose the discussion. Ask people to discuss whether it's nu metal or alt. metal, open a discussion, have people declare the position of either nu or alt, close it in a week, change accordingly. DoomsDay349 22:05, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Talk:Disturbed
[edit]I have reverted your edits to Talk:Disturbed -- this is not how things are done. I suggest you re-read what Danorama and I have explained. ~ | twsx | talkcont | 12:41, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Re: Dude
[edit]dude just wondering if you hate disturbed so much why edit it so much?GuyDoe 23:42, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
- I haven't edited it in a while actually. ^^ The reason why I edited that page was because I felt like there was a neutrality issue, where the reader was simply told they were metal, when many people disagree with that judgement. I am often asked why I edit articles with subjects I don't like, and my answer is generally the same: I try to keep my opinions out of the way when I edit something. By editing the article, I am editing Wikipedia, not the subject of the article. If I messed up the article about Disturbed, for example, it would mess up Wikipedia, not the band. And since I love Wikipedia, I try not to do anything stupid. Hope that helps. Zouavman Le Zouave (Talk to me!) 06:21, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
that makes sence. how did you come to read the article in the first placeGuyDoe 21:04, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well I had heard their stuff before, and I had heard of them quite a bit, so at some point I was like "let's see what the Disturbed article says", and I ended up there. ^^ Zouavman Le Zouave (Talk to me!) 06:38, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit]This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Beyoncé Knowles, you will be blocked from editing. Grimey109 00:00, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
I heard.
[edit]They told me today, and I can't believe them. Change your password and don't let them on again, and as long as there's no further problems, it won't be an issue. If you get blocked I'll vouch for you, but hopefully it won't come to that. DoomsDay349 20:19, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Since I take it that you left the message on how to change your password: Go to my preferences (there's a link on the top) and follow the "Change Password" section. DoomsDay349 21:42, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
