Selina Wamucii as a source

[edit]

Hi, thank you for creating the articles for Lupinus calcensis and Lupinus vallicola. Selina Wamucii does not appear to be a reliable source to move, and I have removed the content from the articles that was sourced to Selina Wamucii. Lupinus calcensis is native to Peru, but Selina Wamucii says it is native to California, Oregon and Washington and says that "California Lupine" is a common name for it. While Lupinus vallicola is in fact native to California, Oregon and Washington, Selina Wamucii says "Texas Bluebell" is a common name for it. Much of the additional information Selina Wamucii provides is generally true for lupine species, but may not be true for any particular species (lupines in general might be used as ornamental plants in gardens, but L. calcensis and L. vallicola aren't available in the ornamental plant trade). I suspect the species pages at Selina Wamucii may be AI-generated, but even if they are not, it is not a good source to cite. Plantdrew (talk) Plantdrew (talk) 02:56, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
