Turkish vs English poster

[edit]

Hi! I noticed that you tried to remove the original Turkish poster and replace it with an English poster that doesn't seem to currently exist on Wikipedia. I just wanted to let you know that when you have foreign films that are brought over and re-titled, it's still customary to use the original poster. If anything, I'm actually going to re-title the article to reflect the original Turkish title because the coverage the film has received has predominantly been under its original title of "Ölü Bölgeden Fısıltılar". The English title will still redirect to the article, but anyone specifically looking for the film under its original title will find it. Until the film has received coverage in reliable sources (WP:RS) that use the specific English title, we should continue to use the title that the film is known under and up to this point in time, has primarily been marketed under. Once it has begun to gain coverage under its English title, the article can be redirected. As far as posters go, we try to use the earliest posters that are released.Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:48, 28 January 2013 (UTC) Gulgun G (talk) 09:00, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Turkish vs English poster

[edit]

Hi! This is not original poster. If you go to http://www.paradoksdergi.com/images/ana_sayfa/olu_bolgeden_fisiltilar_afis1.jpg you will see original poster. This film has joined a lot of festival and you can see on the poster. Thanks

alsowe should add the date

like this Ölü Bölgeden Fısıltılar (2012) "Whispers of Dead Zone (2012)"

  • The date is already in the infobox under its specific field and it's ultimately unnecessary to add to the title of the article as a whole since there are no other films that share either the English or the Turkish title. As far as the poster goes, I'll update it for this. Even if it wasn't the original poster, it does show where it has been screened and that would help the article out. I have to ask though, are you involved with the film's production in any way. You can still edit the article, but it's always good to openly state what your relation is. This article was previously up for deletion via WP:PROD and it's always possible that someone could try to nominate it for deletion via WP:AfD and if so, your relation to the film might come into question. Having a conflict of interest doesn't mean that you can't edit or work with other editors such as myself to edit the article, but being open from the start means that it can't really be used against you. I think the film appears to be notable and your edits are done in good faith, so I'll vouch for you if it comes to that. I do have to ask one request: I notice that English is not your first language and the synopsis section, which more detailed than my previous version, is not grammatically correct. I'm going to edit it to flow a little better, but if I miss anything please let me know!Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:22, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Production shot?

[edit]

Hi! I noticed that you tried to add a picture of the director to the article. You have to be careful about what pictures you add, as they have to fall under the fair use guidelines. This can be tricky to manipulate around and the general consensus is that it's better to add a photograph from the film's production. I would suggest that one of the pictures from the movie set's slide show would be best, although this is one instance where you would have to get permission from someone on the cast and crew before you could upload and post the images. That way there will be fewer concerns over copyright infringement. If you're a member of the film crew then this would make that process easier. I'm also going to solicit some help from another editor that is more familiar with this aspect of film articles. I'm also going to ask around the Turkey Wikiproject for some help with the Turkish language sources.Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 11:27, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yani eklediginiz fotograflari kendi cekmediyseniz orjinal fotografcinin yazili iznine ihtiyacigimiz var. Bir de, lütfen infoboksta olan verileri maddede ayri olarak yazmayiniz, infoboksta olmasi yeterlidir :) Yardima ihtiyaciniz olsa bana mesaj birakabilirsiniz. Iyi calismalar dilerim. 小龙 (Timish) # xiǎolóng de xìnxiāng 14:38, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merhaba, maalesef fotograflarin izinli oldugunu yazili (email) olarak prodüksiyon firmasindan ögrenmemiz lazim, cünkü bu proje tamamen özgür lisansli bir projedir ve profesyonel fotografcilarin özgür lisansa izin vermesi gerektir. Bunu ancak resmi bir email ile kanitlayabiliriz. Prodüksiyon firmasinin Commons:Commons:Email templates sayfasinda olan sabloyu doldurarak permissions-commons@wikimedia.org adresine email atmalari lazimdir. Tesekkürler, 小龙 (Timish) # xiǎolóng de xìnxiāng 14:38, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
