Orphaned non-free image (Image:FineArtDealersLogo wiki.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:FineArtDealersLogo wiki.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 01:50, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Association of Historians of Nineteenth-Century Art, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.arthistory-archaeology.umd.edu/ahnca. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 17:30, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi Rehsgal, please note that emailed permission has been received for this material to be used but, before creating the article, I would ask that you read about corporate notability as I am not sure that the organisation meets the requirements. I would not want you to spend the effort creating an article only to have it deleted again. Can I suggest that, if you want to work on it, you do so in userspace say at User:Rehsgal/Association of Historians of Nineteenth-Century Art. If you do use the website material please note to add {{ConfirmationOTRS}} to the talk page so that other editors know that there is no copyright issue. - Peripitus (Talk) 11:34, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Antoine Blanchard
A tag has been placed on Antoine Blanchard requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Managing a conflict of interest
Hello, Rehsgal. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. The Dissident Aggressor 06:11, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

Your addition to Rehs Galleries, Inc. has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Speedy deletion nomination of Émile Munier
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Émile Munier requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.emilemunier.org/biography.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice.

Request reason:
this username has been in use for at least 5 years and refers to my email address Howard L. Rehs (talk) 4:45 pm, Yesterday (UTC+1)
Accept reason:
Whilst I would encourage you to change your username - you can do so here, and will retain all of this account's edits and history - the name Rehsgal would have been permissible under username policy at the time you registered this account. As such, it should be acceptable under the grandfather clause.
There is a definite conflict of interest, however, and so you should not be making direct edits to the Rehs Galleries article (although you are welcome to request and discuss changes on it's talkpage). Yunshui 雲水 07:41, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
- And the email address doesn't refer to Rehs Galleries, Inc? Peridon (talk) 15:51, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
I created this email address when I first started with AOL --- way back in the 90s. It was created for both me and my wife so we used Rehs Gal --- rehsgal. Over the years I began using it for my business email, but now I am trying to get people to us my howard@rehs.com address. So, now it all depends on how you look at the old AOL email address which I use for all my personal emails and some business emails. It, of course, is your call and I await your decision. Howard L. Rehs (talk) 17:19, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
- Note: This unblock request appears to be a moot point. It appears that the editor is now editing as Gulakos (talk · contribs). The Dissident Aggressor 19:00, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
Not really ... I would rather be editing under the original user name ... have I made no edits with the Gulakos (talk · contribs)? I would like to keep my history which I cannot do with the new user name. Howard L. Rehs (talk) 19:13, 7 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hi as the unblocking admin mentioned, I also would suggest you change your username to something more personal (e.g. hlrehs or rehshl) to avoid future annoyance. --» nafSadh did say 16:01, 8 August 2014 (UTC)
