Hello! I noticed that in the past you have performed a Good Article review of GNAA. However, due to inclusion in the title blacklist, this is impossible for any non-admin user. Would you be able to fix that for us? I ask this because you seem to have no aversion to creation of subpages (such as the one you created for the good article nomination). Thanks! Vandalism

GreatOrangePumpkin (talk · contribs) - User destroys the new infoboxes for the pharaoh, see as example at Khufu. There was a clear agreement within the Egypt´s project to use the new boxes, but GreatOrangePumpkin ignores it and tries head-breaking wall... --Nephiliskos (talk) 13:31, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

What G.O.P. did was not vandalism. (see What is not vandalism?) The consensus you point to is an extremely local consensus; I suggest that you participate in the discussion at WikiProject Ancient Egypt due to the fact that it should have wide participation. --Guerillero | My Talk 20:34, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

The Tea Leaf - Issue Six

Hi! Welcome to the sixth edition of The Tea Leaf, the official newsletter of the Teahouse!

  • Teahouse serves over 700 new editors in six months on Wikipedia! Since February 27, 741 new editors have participated at the Teahouse. The Q&A board and the guest intro pages are more active than ever.
A lovely little teahouse nestled in Germany from Wiki Loves Monuments
  • Automatic invites are doing the trick: 50% more new editors visiting each week. Ever since HostBot's automated invite trial phase began we've seen a boost in new editor participation. Automating a baseline set of invitations also allows Teahouse hosts to focus on serving hot cups of help to guests, instead of spending countless hours inviting.
  • Guests to the Teahouse continue to edit more & interact more with other community members than non-Teahouse guests according to six month metrics. Teahouse guests make more than twice the article edits and edit more talk pages than other new editors.
  • New host process implemented which encourages anyone to get started as a Teahouse host in a few easy steps. Stop by the hosts page and become a Teahouse host today!
  • Host lounge renovations nearing completion. Working closely with Teahouse hosts, we've made some major renovations to the Teahouse Host Lounge - the main hangout and resource space for hosts. Learn more about the improvements here.

As always, thanks for supporting the Teahouse project! Stop by and visit us today!

Backstage at the Smithsonian Libraries is part of Wikipedia Loves Libraries 2012, the second annual continent-wide campaign to bring Wikipedia and libraries together with on-site events. Running this fall through October and November, libraries (and archives) will open their doors to help build a lasting relationship with their local Wikipedian community.

Organized by Wikimedia DC, this event will take place on October 12, 2012, and will include new editor training, a "backstage pass" tour of the National Museum of Natural History, and an edit-a-thon. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Hi. I believe that this is ready to be closed, it received a majority of !votes supporting the motion on 18 Sept 2012 (8 out of 14 members, now at 9 with no opposes). I asked NW what the process was and he indicated that it could be closed 24 hours after it received the necessary !votes, dependent on the availability of the clerks diff. He noted that y'all were short of clerks, and if it had not been closed by Sunday, I could e-mail the members and ask if they could close it.

I really don't want to bother them (they have plenty to do without me bothering them), and wondered if you could close the request out. I would ask NW, but didn't know if he could, since he commented on the request.

If you can't get to it and think I should e-mail the Arbcom list, I will do so. Thanks, GregJackP Boomer! 21:25, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

Indeed. I was just going to implement this. cheers --Guerillero | My Talk 21:54, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
