WP:FS

I have noticed that since graduation you have mostly edited on weekends. I am wondering what is going on at FSC. Several nominations seem to have the quorum of three opinions (Myrrha Gavotte - correction requested, 1812 Overture, The Corps, Assassination of Alexander of Yugoslavia, Three European National Anthems). Are you going to get a chance to close any of these? Also, I have requested clarification of your comment on the Three versions of Amazing Grace nomination.

I also notice that FS seems to have a summer lull. In 2010 there were no closes in July and in 2008 and 2009 there were none in June. In 2007, neither June nor July had any closes.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 12:37, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

FYI, the summer lull history is interesting. No FSC noms were logged between the following dates:

11:03, 29 May 2007 — 11:07, 16 August 2007
15:18, 25 May 2008 — 15:14, 10 July 2008
09:15, 27 April 2009 — 18:52, 25 July 2009
17:50, 25 June 2010 — 18:54, 27 August 2010 --TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 12:54, 2 July 2011 (UTC)
You might break some sort of tradition if you close and log anything within the next 5 weeks or so.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 12:58, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

I am currently employed by the Boy Scouts of America and am at work from Sunday morning to Saturday morning.--Guerillero | My Talk 20:55, 2 July 2011 (UTC)

Ambassador Program: assessment drive

Even though it's been quiet on-wiki, the Wikipedia Ambassador Program has been busy over the last few months getting ready for the next term. We're heading toward over 80 classes in the US, across all disciplines. You'll see courses start popping up here, and this time we want to match one or more Online Ambassadors to each class based on interest or expertise in the subject matter. If you see a class that you're interested, please contact the professor and/or me; the sooner the Ambassadors and professors get in communication, the better things go. Look for more in the coming weeks about next term.

In the meantime, with a little help I've identified all the articles students did significant work on in the last term. Many of the articles have never been assessed, or have ratings that are out of date from before the students improved them. Please help assess them! Pick a class, or just a few articles, and give them a rating (and add a relevant WikiProject banner if there isn't one), and then update the list of articles.

Once we have updated assessments for all these articles, we can get a better idea of how quality varied from course to course, and which approaches to running Wikipedia assignments and managing courses are most effective.
