Information icon Hello, I'm ThePlatypusofDoom. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to War in Afghanistan (2001–2014)— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Suran, Hama Governorate, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Occupation. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Note

[edit]

Please read this notification carefully, it contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

A community decision has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the Syrian Civil War and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The details of these sanctions are described here. All pages that are broadly related to these topics are subject to a one revert per twenty-four hours restriction, as described here.

General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

East Hama offensive

[edit]

Just want to create a template for an offensive on the eastern Hama. As if reading my mind what I wanted to start following. :) As far as Daraa offensive (June 2017), it is worth it because of the article 2 June there water terrible city struggles with fierce aerial bombardment and artillery shelling 24 hours a day. Help me to start creating articles and get into the editing more experienced members. :) --Baba Mica (talk) 17:53, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Baba Mica Sure, I'll help as much as I can. GroundlessAir (talk) 18:09, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

They haven't written an article yet. EkoGraf (talk) 04:04, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Made a compromise edit. EkoGraf (talk) 04:09, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. GroundlessAir (talk) 08:22, 17 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Raqqa offensive

[edit]

Sorry for the late reply, was busy. Create the article here Raqqa offensive (June 2017). Cheers! EkoGraf (talk) 07:12, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Syrian Desert offensive (May 2017–present)

[edit]

Hey Groundless, what do you think, should we maybe change the title of the article from offensive to campaign? Seems to me the operation is basically made up of several offensive on multiple axes. It would also be in line with the title of the previous rebel campaign. EkoGraf (talk) 07:21, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@EkoGraf Great idea, yeah I think campaign is more appropriate naming, thanks for creating Raqqa offensive too. GroundlessAir (talk) 13:23, 22 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Idlib city infobox

[edit]

Most of our individual city/town articles have infoboxes, so the infobox should remain. As for the flag, Idlib is part of the country of Syria (as it says in the infobox) and the official flag of Syria is the two-star flag. EkoGraf (talk) 15:23, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@EkoGraf Scroll down the article, there is another infobox. GroundlessAir (talk) 15:24, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, didn't see that one lol. Hmmmm. Well its a box for the series on the Syrian opposition and its right next to the section on the war so.... Not sure, I'm fine ether way (remove or not). EkoGraf (talk) 15:28, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Central Syria campaign

[edit]

Yeah, sorry, mistyped that word. :P EkoGraf (talk) 15:30, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@EkoGraf Heh, fascinating how one letter can be so meaningful entirely changing the meaning of entire article. Anyway, keep up the great work in the future, you're the best! GroundlessAir (talk) 15:32, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! :) EkoGraf (talk) 15:39, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
