FP re-nominations
[edit]About This edit of yours, I undid it. That's not how we renominate FPs. You can't delete other editor's comments, votes, contributions, etc. To re-nominate an image, just start from scratch and create a new nomination, and give the new nomination a name like this: "Old-nomination-name Revision 2". In the reason section of the new nomination state that it's a re-nomination, and give a link to the previous nomination. Bammesk (talk) 03:46, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

Franklin D. Roosevelt, also known as FDR, was the 32nd president of the United States, serving from 1933 until his death in 1945. The longest-serving U.S. president, he is the only president to have served more than two terms. His initial two terms were centered on combating the Great Depression, while his third and fourth saw him shift his focus to America's involvement in World War II. Photograph credit: Leon A. Perskie

POTD 2025-09-11 and 2026-09-11
[edit]I'm trying to figure out what's going on with these two POTDs, which are both currently scheduled with the same image and blurb (Austin J. Tobin Plaza. It looks like @EF5 originally scheduled it for 2025, then you replaced it with File:Explosion following the plane impact into the South Tower (WTC 2) - B6019~11.jpg and rescheduled it for 2025-09-12, then @Amakuru moved it to 2026-09-11. What was your original intent?
I'd suggest putting the crash photo on 2026-09-11, since that's 25 years since 9/11, and leaving the plaza photo for 2025. But I didn't want to do that without checking in first, since things have gotten a bit confusing already. Jay8g [V•T•E] 09:43, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Jay8g: your plan sounds fine, thanks. Do the plaza in 2025 and the towers in 2026. When I found the templates, it had one image scheduled for the 11th and the other for the 12th, which seemed like overkill, hence why I moved the 12th one to the following year. But it seems the situation regarding the 11th was due to a temporary unexplained change of the image by Wcamp9, which was later reverted by EF5. — Amakuru (talk) 10:53, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- I’m sorry for the unexplained change, and I am fine with scheduling the photo on 9/11/2026 Wcamp9 (talk) 12:01, 13 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello, as a courtesy I wanted to let you know that I reverted your edit here, as I feel that the image used prior to your edit is a better picture that has been used for years on the article. If you would like to discuss this, feel free to do so at the article talk page. JeffSpaceman (talk) 15:04, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
