Information icon Hello, GretelChu. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Everbright Sun Hung Kai, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Achmad Rachmani (talk) 07:40, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem icon Your edit to Everbright Sun Hung Kai has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, Wikipedia strictly cannot host copyrighted text or images from print media or digital platforms without an appropriate and verifiable license. I am a member of the Corporate Communications Department of China Everbright Securities International Company Limited, writing to address an issue regarding the company logo and information on the English version of Wikipedia.
Despite our rebranding and the update of information on the Chinese Wikipedia page, the English version still retains outdated details, potentially leading to misinformation.
We kindly request your assistance in rectifying this discrepancy on the English Wikipedia page for China Everbright Securities International Company Limited. Maintaining accurate and current information is paramount for our reputable financial institution, and ensuring consistency across all platforms, including Wikipedia, is essential.
Please advise on the appropriate steps we can take to facilitate the correction of the company logo information on the English Wikipedia page. We are prepared to provide any additional documentation or verification necessary to ensure the accuracy of our company's details on Wikipedia.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we appreciate your guidance in promptly resolving this issue. GretelChu (talk) 10:35, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are a couple of problems with your submission. You cannot post copyright material on Wikipedia even if you are the copyright holder or have their permission, unless special licensing permissions are in place. That is because Wikipedia aims to be freely distributable and copyable by anyone, and all content must have the appropriate documentation in place before that can happen. Please see Wikipedia:donating copyrighted materials which explains how it works.
The second problem is conflict of interest. Writing an article about your own organisation or that of a client is strongly discouraged, as it is difficult to maintain the required neutral point of view. According to our terms of use, paid editors and people editing on behalf of their employer are required to disclose their conflict of interest by posting a notice on their user page or talk page. This can be dune by using the template Template:Paid.
The recommended practice for updating articles is that you make suggestions for amendments on the corresponding article talk page. Please be sure not to violate our copyright policy while doing so. — Diannaa (talk) 13:29, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
