Image or Media Permissions

[edit]

Thank you for uploading an image or media.

Whilst, the image or media appears to be licensed, It would be helpful if you could confirm the photographer, author or copyright owner of the media concerned, has granted release under the licenses shown. You can do this by getting them to make a formal release,or by confirming any permission you obtained, by writing to the OTRS permissions queue as detailed in WP:COPYREQ.

If you have already approached OTRS, then please get an administrator with OTRS access to update the image information to confirm this.

Fair use rationale for File:The Green Knight.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:The Green Knight.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. File permission problem with File:Melkweg7663.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Melkweg7663.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 14:24, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free use disputed for File:Umbra_Albastră_2008.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Umbra_Albastră_2008.jpg. Unfortunately, I think that you have not provided a proper rationale for using this image under "fair use". Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. Note that the image description page must include the exact name or a link to each article the image is used in and a separate rationale for each one. (If a link is used, automated processes may improperly add the related tag to the image. Please change the fair use template to refer to the exact name, if you see this warning.)

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Permission for File:Blue Shade 2007.jpg and other images

[edit]

Hi! You have uploaded some images with the text "This image was given to Wikipedia by Oscar Seip on behalf of Transversal Theater Company as part of the press kit for Blue Shade. It is specifically intended for reuse by the media, and as such is released under GFDL." Could you send the permission as described on the templates above? --MGA73 (talk) 22:32, 17 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear MGA73,

I did not include the letter from Seip because the images are posted on the Transversal Theater Company’s website and Facebook page. Please find the letter from Seip quoted below.

Thank you for your help with this. Gregorthebug (talk) 09:13, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Gregor,

Thank you for your contributions to the Wikipedia page on Bryan Reynolds. Everyone at TTC really appreciates it. We hope to see a page on the company at some point. This letter is to give you permission to post on Wikipedia any or all of the attached photos from our shows – Unbuckled, Woof, Daddy, Railroad, Blue Shade, Lumping in Fargo, Eve’s Rapture, The Green Knight, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet – as well as photos that I am also attaching from our transversal acting workshops. You may also publish the descriptions of the shows if you think this would add to the quality of the entry. Also, I give you permission to publish on Wikipedia any photos from our website – in case you prefer those: www.transversaltheater.com.

Please let me know if I can send you anything else.

Best,

Oscar Seip Producer oscar@transversaltheater.com

Hi! Sorry I forgot all about this. The mails should be send to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and if possible it should be Oscar that sends the permission. I hope you get this message. --MGA73 (talk) 20:41, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Unbuckled 2004.jpg, which you've attributed to http://www.facebook.com/pages/Transversal-Theater-Company/46399575403. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. File permission problem with File:Woof, Daddy 2006.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Woof, Daddy 2006.JPG, which you've attributed to http://www.facebook.com/pages/Transversal-Theater-Company/46399575403. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Gregory de la Haba, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bryan Reynolds. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
