Forum Shopping

[edit]

As you are obviously here to discuss the 5WPR and Torossian pages, I'd advise you to go to the talk pages of the article and discuss there. You are not allowed to post your same comments on more than one message board, it's called forum shopping, and is disruptive.

This is advice for you, and whoever you work with, and whatever your next identity will be on Wikipedia. If you disagree with something on a page, go to that article's talk page and calmly discuss it. What you're doing is disruptive, and all it's accomplishing is making it harder for editors to actually go through those articles and determine what needs to stay and what needs to go. Those articles shouldn't be puff pieces, neither should they only contain negative material. Voice your concerns on the talk page with sources, and let the Wikipedia editors hear you, rather than having to defend articles and noticeboards from blatant attempts to edit war and disrupt. Dayewalker (talk) 17:57, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Appreciate your commentary. Not seeking puff pieces simply balance I ask that you review the posted sources and previous editions. --Greenbay1313 (talk) 17:59, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you. Zakhalesh (talk) 18:38, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits to WP:BLPN could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Please be sure to comment on content not contributors, and where possible make specific suggestions for changes supported by reliable independent sources and focusing especially on verifiable errors of fact. Forum Shopping Warning

[edit]

I've warned you above, and you claimed to understand, I'll say it again. Stop posting the same material to multiple noticeboard pages. It is forum shopping, disruptive, and will lead to your account being blocked.

The discussion of that page should go at the article's talk page, or on the biographies of living persons page. Please limit your discussions to those two pages. Posting everywhere else is disruptive. Dayewalker (talk) 21:42, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The discussion is about the topic Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. Thank you. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 21:46, 2 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How does one call attention to a serious BLP without notifying people ? See there was a discussion regarding if the BLP issues are valid. Where is any proof Torossian is an active supporter of Israel and they are more than clients of firm The Forward is a single source which is wrong and anyone who knows anything about Israel politics knows its wrong on purpose - noone at all believes the Arabs can be kicked out of Jerusalem, and certainly not Arab citizens as its now written. Its libelous and misleading and leaves Torossian able to sue Wikipedia. Read THE JERUSALEM POST or any of the other sources: THIS IS WHAT OUR JERUSALEM WAS: http://www.jpost.com/Features/InTheSpotlight/Article.aspx?id=150936 During what would turn out to be a two-year stint in this country, Torossian was one of three founders - together with fellow Betar alumni and peers, today Likud MK Danny Danon and Kadima MK Yoel Hasson - of Yerushalayim Shelanu (Jerusalem Is Ours), a secular organization promoting the right of Jews to live anywhere they choose in the city of Jerusalem.

... and amazing that a 4 page Jerusalem Post feature has no quotes in your Wikipedia bio.

3: Rabbi Morris Allen, who heads an organization that exposed fraud in one of 5WPR's clients, called the firm's tactics in defending the client "outrageous, to say the least."Why would it be on personal Torossian page ? 4: Torossian is active in supporting pro-Israeli causes, especially those associated with the Israeli right wing. Who says they are more than clients, and same with Christian supporters of Israel. Clients of his company (as are Pamela Anderson Sean combs and others who amazingly arent listed in his bio). Regarding Netanyahu quote taken out of context read the whole article, and the issue is wrong Torossian as article states opposed him because he froze Jerusalem building note as Wikipedia states but the article/source does not. --greenbay1313 (talk) 12:39, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Assistance

[edit]

Ravpapa has now amended Our Jerusalem to say Palestinians rather than The Forward on Ronn Torossian page, clearly showing he believes The Forward is wrong. There is no proof whatsoever that Ourjerusalem worked to push Palestinians out, and it should say as the Jerusalem Post did - to allow jews to live all over Jerusalem. How could Torossian work with Prime Ministers if he was this extreme ? Can users please assist ? greenbay1313 (talk) 14:42, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Complained on 2 boards regarding User: Ravpapa posting a picture of Torossian and identifying him personally as a sockpuppet without proof, and then apologizing by saying it was a mistake (Yes of all the pictures in the world he chose 1 of the person he is attacking online.). And attempted to apologize by saying he was seeking a picture of someone with a really big nose. He should be sanctioned. If I posted to wrong place I apologize and please assist greenbay1313 (talk) 14:52, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are complaining too much and to too many boards (something called WP:FORUMSHOPPING). I suggest if you have a real complaint you do so in one place and then take the advice you are given. Your current behavior is not tolerated for long here. Calm down. Cheers.Griswaldo (talk) 15:24, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Debate and decorum

[edit]

I'm not sure what your motivations are, or what you hope to accomplish as a Wikipedia editor. But please bear in mind that the vast majority of people on Wikipedia are interested in working collaboratively to make articles and the information within them better.

You don't win an argument by threatening other volunteer editors. Even in court, there is an expectation that you follow the rules there. As such, I'm going to point out a Wikipedia guideline - http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:No_legal_threats

If you want to object to content within an article, there are several ways to do so. You may comment on each article's Talk page. You may escalate the discussion via several processes if other editors are unwilling to work collaboratively. And finally, if you wish to file a lawsuit for some reason, you may, of course, do so. But at no time should you make threats (idle or not) to other editors.

I hope that you understand this and can understand the need to debate in a fashion that is oriented toward a productive outcome and not simply bullying others. Thank you. -- Avanu (talk) 23:32, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you'll be aware, I've reported your recent behavior and threats at ANI here [1]. I've tried to extend good faith here, but you've gone way too far. Dayewalker (talk) 23:40, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Which bullying ? Ravpapa came on the page and made dozens of changes without approval or discussion and inaccurate content still lives there. You cant slander someone and not expect reaction. Did you folks comment on the picture Ravpapa posted of Torossian or personal insults he issued ? greenbay1313 (talk) 01:24, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Folks: Please provide me assistance what is it to be done if BLP is repeatedly violated and noone responds ? What is the course of action ? greenbay1313 (talk) 01:25, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

5WPR question

[edit]

Quick question--where did you get updated (2010) employee information from for 5WPR? I can't find it on the website. Qwyrxian (talk) 23:37, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

From the Odwyers link with the companys size. greenbay1313 (talk) 01:24, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I draw attention to your statements at WP:ANI#Legal Threats, Or At Least The Chilling Effects. The language you are using appears to violate WP:No legal threats. I request that you strike out any predictions you have made at ANI that somebody will sue Wikipedians unless certain article changes are made. It is OK for you to point out what you think to be false statements or BLP violations. But "I predict that unless you do X, person Y will sue you" is not acceptable under our legal threat policy and may lead to an indefinite block of your account. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 01:38, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I withdraw any threats I am making. If its perceived in that manner its a mistake. I am saying what I thought someone else may do I dont know what said person may do. Was responding to Ravpapa's post saying Torossian was litigious. greenbay1313 (talk) 01:46, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delighted to hear that there will be no legal action. That's the way we like it. I just chatted with Ron, he finds it all quite amusing and he's sure Wikipedia will come to their own conclusions. "Storm in a teacup" was his exact words. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 03:17, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Which Ron is it you chatted with ? And I didnt say there wouldnt be legal action I said I wont make further legal threats and will allow Torossian to do as he sees fit. I still would ask you to review the page. greenbay1313 (talk) 03:19, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've just reviewed it. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 03:21, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
and you think if he worked for Netanyahu Olmert and the current Mayor of Jeruslaem thats not more relevant than a reform Rabbi ? greenbay1313 (talk) 03:22, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, this is a piece of very strong advice regarding you bringing up discussion of the potential for legal action; using that to try and "win" a discussion is not acceptable and is a violation of our "no legal threats" policy. Please stop doing it. I've taken a look over the material and there is nothing that immediately springs out as libellous; other content issues should be discussed, reaching consensus on the talk page. --Errant (chat!) 17:01, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
