How to make a userspace draft
[edit]To take your time over making an article, go to Help:Userspace draft and fill in the title there: that will create a draft page in your "user space" where you can work on the article, with a link to some useful advice and a "Submit" button which will send it to WP:Articles for creation for an experienced user to look at, when it will either be accepted or you will be given feedback.
It's worth reading WP:Your first article carefully first, particularly what it says about references and notability.
Another tip - when adding a contribution to a talk page (but not in articles) you should sign your contributions by ending them with a group of four "tilde" characters ~~~~
, which the system will turn into a "signature" with your username and the time and date, like this: JohnCD (talk) 16:50, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
- I see you have already created the article, so I have "moved" it for you to User:Greekgeekygirl/Abcodia, which is just where it would have been if you had followed the route I described above. JohnCD (talk) 16:54, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Hi, I am now ready to publish my page about Abcodia. It is in draft. I can't see what I need to do. Can you please help. Greekgeekygirl.
- Click the link "Submit the page!" in the "Userspace draft" template which I have put back at the top. That will send it to WP:Articles for creation for an experienced user to look at, when it will either be accepted or you will be given feedback. It may take a few days, as the AfC volunteers are heavily loaded. JohnCD (talk) 15:31, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
JohnCDHi John, I have successfully uploaded my Abcodia page, but the Wikipedia page is still visible saying Greekgeekygirl/Abcodia. I wondered if you could please remove it. Many thanks.User:Greekgeekygirl/Abcodia JohnCD 08.50 26 September 2012
JohnCD Hi John, could you please check if I have successfully published my Abcodia page as it doesn't appear when you google the name: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Abcodia yet it appears to be published.User:Greekgeekygirl/Abcodia JohnCD 9.52 28 September 2012
