I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Greekboy, I think that it is very important for you to learn more about Wikipedia before you start making a lot of edits. Verifiability is an important principle in Wikipedia. Please do not make edits based on what you think -- you must provide reliable sources for the the sorts of edits that you are making to political parties articles. Thank you. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page John Kerry. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Spitfire19 (Talk) 14:55, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not intentionally introduce incorrect information to pages, as you did with this edit to James Monroe. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Spitfire19 (Talk) 14:59, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the final warning that you will receive regarding your disruptive edits, such as this edit you made to Harold Ford, Jr.. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing without further notice. Spitfire19 (Talk) 15:05, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

Greekboy, I regret that I have had to block you from editing for a while. I think you need a time-out. As other editors and I have pointed out, you must not make edits based on what you think, but on the basis of verifiable information from reliable sources. This is a temporary block to give you some time to review Wikipedia policies and for other editors to clean up the mess that you have made. If you continue editing in this manner after the block expires, you will be blocked again for a longer period. Please do not do this. Ground Zero | t 19:03, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fiorello La Guardia

[edit]

New York State permits candidates to be nominated by more than one party, and therefore appear on the ballot on more than one line. While the article says that LaGuardia was also the nominee of the American Labor Party in one election, and it notes that he was nominated by the Liberal Party in another, he was, as far as I can tell, only a member of the Republican Party. As this was his primary ballot designation, that is what should appear int he info box. Ground Zero | t 20:14, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

Greekboy, I had been assuming that your edits were made in good faith, and that the mistakes you were making resulted from your unfamiliarity with Wikipedia. After reviewing the edits that Spitfire has identified above, I see that I was being naive. Those edits were clearly vandalism. You are hereby warned that any further such activity will be dealt with swiftly and firmly. Ground Zero | t 20:36, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Greekboy12345er6 for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. RolandR (talk) 00:01, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the only warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to People's National Party, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Please stop your continuing refusal to abide by Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Statements of fact must be verifiable by a reliable source. Contentious changes must be discussed. RolandR (talk) 07:12, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
