[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. The project's content policies require that all articles be written from a neutral point of view, and not introduce bias or give undue weight to viewpoints. Please bear this in mind when making edits such as your recent edit to Laborschule Bielefeld. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Ronhjones (Talk) 01:08, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for your welcome, but actually I am not sure if I do understand what you are talking about. Did you mean the fact there is no reference for them doing well? I'll provide a paragraph on this tommorrow :) --Greatgreenwhale (talk) 01:13, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi Großergrünerwal, thank you for your contribution and edits to the Education in Hamburg article. May you be so kind to read the text again, for my not so remarkable skills of the English language, there might be some grammar errors. I didn't get what you want to say esp. in this sentence: "It was also feared that Gymnasien if Gymnasien would not be able to enroll students as young as ten years, it would become difficult for them to instill school spirit and love for learning in them." It sound very German, maybe you can reword it? Thank you Sebastian scha. (talk) 22:45, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
- Oh! That sentence makes no sense at all. What did I write there? I'll go correct it.--Greatgreenwhale (talk) 22:49, 17 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the Christmas wishes
[edit]And I hope you have a great holiday yourself. Gonzonoir (talk) 15:27, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Germany, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Academic achievement among different groups in Germany
[edit]I'm posting here in case you don't have my talk page watchlisted. It's okay to reply here as I do have this page on my watchlist.
I've done a copyedit and tidy of Academic achievement among different groups in Germany and hope it meets with your approval. The main thing left to do is to incorporate citation templates into the references, which you might like to try – see {{cite journal}}, {{cite news}}, {{cite web}} for example. Don't worry if you don't get it right first time, I can always clean up anything that's needed. --RexxS (talk) 11:34, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you :). I like it very much. I'll give that reference-thing a try tommorow.-- Greatgreenwhale (talk) 13:24, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I did not do it yet. But I will do it soon.-- Greatgreenwhale (talk) 14:17, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
Memorials
[edit]In the U.S., as in every other country, "war memorials" vary in nature and content. Some are created by highly patriotic, pro-military or even chauvinist organizations, and may glorify (or be perceived as glorifying) war in general, or the wars of that country specifically. Others may be anti-war in sentiment or even in explicit message, mourning the loss of lives and the waste of war itself. Both kinds of memorials can be controversial among those who would prefer the opposite sort. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:27, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
Laurels
[edit]Read the article laurel wreath. It's a classical thing, but there are still classically-minded folks out here in the U.S., and the reference is by no means obscure. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:33, 29 January 2010 (UTC) (whose last name in Latin, lauri, means "laurels")
Education in Germany
[edit]Well done indeed on the article which you're preparing. I was especially interested to read about the vocational training. Mikeo1938 (talk) 09:12, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
Various articles
[edit]Hello Greatgreenwhale, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I have been through some of the articles listed on your user page and improved the capitalisation, punctuation and phrasing, corrected some typos, and added a section and some categories. I hope you approve of my changes, and that they have not altered the meaning to anything you did not intend to write. Coyets (talk) 17:08, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Phạm Nguyễn Lan Phiên
[edit]A tag has been placed on Phạm Nguyễn Lan Phiên requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Coolug (talk) 17:07, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
