Photos of Fond du Lac

I noticed that your comment that you are willing to take pictures in FdL on the Octagon house photo. I was planning on doing a photo shoot there sometime. Please do it! I can clean up if you miss any. I was thinking:

• St. Mary Springs High School - located at the bottom of the Niagara Escarpment on Wisconsin Highway 23 - can skip as I drive near there on the US 151 bypass at least once per month
• Winnebago Lutheran Academy
• University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac building (I got the sign)
• downtown (Main St.)
• City hall
• County courthouse
• County Fairgrounds
• Mercury Marine headquarters
• maybe the Miracle Mile??
• everything in National Register of Historic Places listings in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin

I have now upload and put up a bunch of the National Register of Historic Places listings in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin photos. I also have the UW, City hall, Miracle Mile, ect. photos that I will put up tomorrow. Halfway done. -- Dspradau → talk  00:52, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the photos! It's looking better already. I see that you haven't included a description or source. Both are REAL important. A missing source is enough to get a picture deleted. You just need to say that you took it yourself for the source. For description, please use a longer description, like the Octagon House in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Another big deal on Commons is categories. I'm an admin there as well as here on the English Wikipedia. Commons is merely a collection of images and videos, so it is organized by categories. You have not categorized that image. All Wisconsin images on the National Register of Historic Places get added to the Commons category Category:National Register of Historic Places in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. I always add them to a city or county category, which adding them to the NHRP/FDL Co will do. I'd add the NRHP images to the Category:Fond du Lac, Wisconsin as a refinement. Thanks!
