Orphaned non-free image File:Canadian Institute of Technology, current logo.svg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Canadian Institute of Technology, current logo.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 05:54, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Logo of Për'puthen. Captured 2023.png has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the file should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:00, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable non-free use File:Butrint Imeri in 2023.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Butrint Imeri in 2023.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:42, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Suppressed edits

[edit]
Hi, GrafiXal, I have unfortunately had to suppress some of your edits because they reveal too much personally identifiable information about you. We have a policy of protecting editors' safety by hiding such information if they share it. I'm really sorry about having to suppress your edits, and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add the information. For some useful information on privacy and safety, you can take a look at Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors and Wikipedia:On privacy, confidentiality and discretion. Thanks, and sorry for messing about with your pages! PhilKnight (talk) 05:24, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@PhilKnight Hi! Can I know what too much of personally indetifiable information I revealed specifically (by specifically, i mean what kind, e.g. nationality)? If you did the edits only to keep me by Wikipedia policies, then it's okay, I also thank you for this then. :)

Also, I just checked your user page and I suspect you might be the user who blocked/banned my IP adresss from editing back in 2021/2022. I believe my block/ban has been lifted now. If you are the person that banned/blocked me then, can I ask for the reason? I can't find your message about it anywhere lol. GrafiXal (talk) 07:07, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You revealed that you were a minor, which we suppress. I don't remember blocking your IP. PhilKnight (talk) 09:17, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You revealed that you were a minor, which we suppress.

I don't think it is a problem letting people know that I am born on 2*** but whatever; if that's Wikipedia policy then I'll folllow it then.

I don't remember blocking your IP.

In 2022 or 2021, I was editing the article about the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT) and while trying to edit it at that time, I was met with an IP ban notification (I believe) and iirc the user that banned me appered to have the same userpage as you. I have no issue getting banned as I got un-banned before opening this account. I just wanted to know the reason, like did I violate a rule or rules of Wikipedia punishable by an IP ban?
Also, can I change my username to "grafiXal" to avoid revealing of my true name (I will also remove my true name from the article if done.) GrafiXal (talk) 09:28, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have no recollection about blocking your IP, and I can't find any record of it. I have renamed your account. PhilKnight (talk) 12:09, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Eh, don't worry about it. It's all good. Tysm for changing my username! Also, are there Wikipedia pages that note what rules should be followed that if not the violator will recieve a block from contributing? GrafiXal (talk) 13:16, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest you read WP:BLOCK. PhilKnight (talk) 18:14, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I will, thanks! GrafiXal (talk) 04:31, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
