Hey Greg, thanks for the message! I have the article Battery (electricity) watchlisted, and I saw your edit there. I just happened to notice that your talk page was red-linked, and so I peeked at the rest of your contributions and left you a welcome, ;-) We all get our edits reversed sometimes, don't worry too much about it. The important thing is to take on-board any helpful comments made at the time. A lot of edits will get reversed because they aren't backed up by a reliable source: it's one of those things that helps make Wikipedia readable! It's a good thing, but I appreciate that sometimes it's frustrating, especially for new users. But you're doing well, actually! By the way, if you hadn't noticed, the "Beta" version includes a new, enhanced "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" editing format. I haven't really tried it myself, but I understand that you can click (for example) the "italic" button, and it will put the mark-up in for you. Maybe you'd like to try the Beta and see if the new toolbar helps you with the (often confusing) wiki mark-up! Keep up the good work, Greg, :-) Maedin\talk 19:06, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what you are asking here, but if you are asking if you have to do anything at Requests for feedback to close the question, the answer is no. We'll take care of it.

Thanks for your contribution.--SPhilbrickT 22:06, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback archived

[edit]

Hi there.

A while ago, you requested feedback in WP:FEED. Because it has been a while, and you'd received at least some response there, I have now archived the replies in Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/Archive/27. Please do not edit that page though; if you require further feedback, add a new request on WP:FEED.

I am trying to clear the backlogs; it would help us a lot if you could look at the requests from other users on WP:FEED and add any comments to help them out. Anyone can respond there, so please do take a look, and comment on the articles from other people.

If you want help with anything at all, you could either;

  • Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
  • Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
  • Talk to us live, with this or this.

The last of those is particularly useful - please try it; pop in now and say hello. Best,  Chzz  ►  02:36, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Mudflats (blog), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.themudflats.net/about.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Question for administrator

[edit]

{{admin help}}

I've spent the last two or three weeks entering the story titles and some limited reference information from a series of anthologies into a table in The Grantville Gazettes. Today, when following something, I discovered the deletion discussion for one of the volumes in that series, where someone claimed that a list of stories (he refered to them as "chapters") is a copyright violation. http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Grantville_Gazette_IV I believe that a contents list and the other information in this table are fair use and notable. Could I have a comment from one of the experts? Would it make a difference if I asked Baen for permission to provide this list? Gossg (talk) 08:05, 10 June 2012 (UTC) http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Grantville_Gazette_IV --Gossg (talk) 08:05, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest asking this question at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. It's obvious this question is languishing and there are only a limited number of people who monitor adminhelp requests. In fact, this should have been asked through {{helpme}} instead because it requires no administrative action and a wider pool of editors look at helpme requests, but I think asking it at the dedicated forum is in any event more likely to result in a timely answer.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 16:36, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
