On other pages other people have done the total opposite to the rules, and still theirs isn't deleted. Wikipedia is ment to be for people to publish their own stuff, but how can we if people like you delete it.

History of E! Entertainment Television
E! Entertainment Television Movietime original files and docs support that Larry Namer, Brian Owens, Rick Portin, Mike Sobel, Bill Zaccheo, Mark Hale, and others launched the network. If you research Alan Mruvka you will discover that his own info, which he wrote on his Wiki bio, is ridiculous and exaggerated--how could he produce 20,000 hours of programming (much less one, he had nothing to do with production at Movietime) when the network was only on the air (20 hours a day plus infomercials) 11,000 hours before he was removed from Movietime!! And if born in 1967, did he really go to college and have a business background, and then come up with a network idea when he was 16 years old in 1984? Any sourced materials that support the above claims have been manipulated, probably by Mruvka. He supplied some of the money that started the network and was on the Board of Movietime until removed by the cable operators in early 1989. He had absolutely no operational responsibilities for Movietime, though he has erroneously claimed production responsibility in his self-penned Wikipedia bio. If you want pdf's of the Movietime launch, I can email them to you. ---- Pienza89 (talk) 14:58, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

By the Way, I forgot to add that most of the first two paragraphs of the E! history were written by me before I formally registered. I worked with all the people who launched the network, and named those most responsible for its successful launch. They were the operational heads of departments which created the concept and did the work and came up with the ideas and operation to do the launch, which was financed by a half dozen companies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pienza89 (talk • contribs) 05:34, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
I looked at the Greenwood press attribute which you refer to, which ironically is a channel description written by me when I worked in the U.K. for a cable company and described E! for our channel guide. At least put the following in, which is directly from the article and more accurate than letting two people take the credit for the significant idea, work, and contribution of others:
"launched by Larry Namer, Alan Mruvka, Brian Owens, and others on July 31 1987 as Movietime a low-budget service that....... " —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pienza89 (talk • contribs) 14:53, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

History of E! Entertainment Television -- your source for intro has been written inaccurately
The Anthony Slide book, 1991, does not say that Mruvka launched the channel, WHICH HE DIDN'T, but wrote that Mruvka co-founded the network, WHICH HE DID BECAUSE HE WAS THE FIRST INVESTOR: "Founded by Larry Namer and Alan Mruvka, Movietime Channel was launched on July 31, 1987 by HBO, Warner Communications........."(page 94) Mruvka had no operational responsibility whatsoever for the network at its launch, or thereafter--he was on the Board of Directors and one of more than twenty shareholders at the network's launch. And author Slide had no facts for his info, as HBO and the cable TV operators did not invest in Movietime until one year after its launch. He probably had interviewed Mruvka or Namer and got the full story wrong.
This is what I got from googling ("The television industry: a historical dictionary mruvka"_ your source for the Mruvka claim on launching Movietime: http://www.uksuperweb.co.uk/tv.html to to #17 . Otherwise that google just goes circular to wikipedia . —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pienza89 (talk • contribs) 17:22, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

Once more before the breach--A "launch of a network " is not the same as a "founding"
Once more, quoting directly from the page (94) of the source you are using, "The Television Industry: a historical dictionary" by Anthony Slide:
"Founded by Larry Namer and Alan Mruvka, Movietime Channel was launched on July 31, 1987 by HBO, Warner Communications, American Television & Communications, Continental Cablevision, Cox Cable, News Channel Corp., United Cable, and Warner Brothers Studio,"(page 94)
This is not by any means the same as what you have now written in Wikipedia:
"E! Entertainment Television was founded by Larry Namer and Alan Mruvka[1][2] on July 31, 1987 as Movietime, a service that aired movie trailers.........."
The channel was absolutely not founded in 1987 (it was incorporated as the Movietime business about a year earlier), but it was indeed launched on July 31, 1987 by a group you will or can not recognize, and I will try to find a true source about this. Meanwhile, if you must recognize the veracity here as the Slide book material, you would do best to complete the error by exactly writing/inserting what Slide wrote: "Founded by Larry Namer and Alan Mruvka, Movietime Channel was launched on July 31, 1987 by HBO, Warner Communications, American Television & Communications, Continental Cablevision, Cox Cable, News Channel Corp., United Cable, and Warner Brothers Studio," notwithstanding that Slide did not have a clue about what he was writing here. Or you can let me recognize Mruvka, as one of many launchers, which I previously wrote to compromise and let him have his ego-rub.
Truly, take a look at the Alan Mruvka Wiki bio he wrote, which has many blatantly ridiculous claims--PLEASE LOOK AT IT. Mruvka writes "While with E!, Mruvka oversaw production of over 20,000 hours of programming ........" There are 8,760 hours in a year, so even if he had anything to do with production (which he did not), in the year and a half Mruvka was associated with the network, was he really 13,000 hours of the network, including the thousands of hours of paid infomercial hours late at night? And "Mruvka was born ....in 1968, " and "studied architecture at the University of Miami and New York’s Pratt Institute," so was he really just nineteen years old when Movietime launched." Lots of well-deserving people don't need Mruvka stealing their due. Pienza89 (talk) 21:36, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

I am learning how to work with Wikipedia, thank you, and I will dig out some archives and try to get this right when I have time. BUT meanwhile, I find some hypocrisy in your actions in that you insist from the Anthony Slide book that Namer and Mruvka founded the network, but now you won't complete the Anthony Slide's statement that HBO and others launched the network. If you believe me, then you'd accept my edit. If you don't believe me, then you would fully put in what the Slide source wrote. I don't get the inconsistency. If you use the source, then use the source and write "Movietime Channel was launched on July 31, 1987 by HBO, Warner Communications........." And if you don't, and believe what I have written, then go back to my edits. It should be "either, or" , and not your pick and choice from a written source and me--that's consistency and I would think that is what Wikipedia is trying to achieve in these "factual" disputes. You wrote that the HBO group was in the second paragraph so there was no need to put the complete Slide reference into the first paragraph, but I COMPPLETELY WROTE THE SECOND PARAGRAPH. The HBO et al ownership is what I wrote, which I mentioned when I first wrote you. Yes I wrote that paragraph before I registered, because why register when I was the originator of almost all of the first two paragraphs? When Mruvka changed the opening and took out the other people's names who launched the network, I had to register to start editing that text. But again, the second paragraph was completely written by me so I stand by what I wrote: you either accept what I wrote or completely take out the (my) non-referenced material and put in the Slide page 94. Otherwise your "corrections" are illogical, using my material when it seems right to you but then not using it when it might be in conflict with an interview with Mruvka. "It appears to me that the second paragraph evolved (like most content on Wikipedia) from edits by multiple editors, not you as an anonymous IP alone." I am sorry that you tire so easily, but, again, I wrote all of the second paragraph except for the last sentence, so it did not stem from "multiple editors." You do a disservice when you challenge the veracity of a person who made a solid contribution and then had another person change it. There were no multiple editors in the second paragraph, and the HBO et al sentences, as well as all except the last, were mine, alone. So why don't you remove them, unless you continue to want it both ways, accepting what I write but then dropping what I write as you editorialize. Pienza89 (talk) 23:47, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

The Show
I added new references. The album is on amazon and billboard, and this band is very important. they just recently played the O2 Arena, also played by Kelly Clarkson and Hole. They have also been mentioned in publications such as Jersey Beat and Village Voice. Although they are still an indie band, they have many radio stations internationally that have the Show in consistant rotation. The album has sold over 30,000 copies, and still is selling consistently. The Show are going to be huge pretty soon, so their wiki has to come now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by CjsRoxMySox (talk • contribs) 03:37, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Spam on user talk pages
In regard to your block of Eatinqueens... I haven't been here long, but I've already seen this a couple of times now (new users spamming/advertising on their talk pages). Is this something that needs to be mentioned in policy (people think it's ok?) or is it merely a way that users think they can get away with through going unnoticed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gz33 (talk • contribs) 06:11, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- It is indeed pretty common. I'm not sure exactly why though. Sometimes it is like you say, they are trying to avoid being noticed. Other times, I think they just don't know and think their talk page is a good place to put their ad. No policy addition is necessary as it is already covered in blocking policy. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:20, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, I see its covered there now. I was looking at the Promotion policy and the link policies which seemed to give of the idea that they mainly meant for article space gz33 (talk) 06:32, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- The blocking policy allows for spam/advertising blocks no matter where they edit. The funniest spam I see is on Talk:Main Page. I really don't understand that one since there are big warning messages all over the place with that, but I guess some editors are just determined to place their ad. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:35, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Ufuoma Ejenobor
hello Gogo, thank you for you contributions and correction on the Ufuoma Ejenobor page. it shows that we still have committed editors on the site. But it would be more appropriate to check on facts before completely deleting an article especially if the articles are not easily verified from your side of the world. if there are problems regarding a page, they should be discussed and PROPERLY VERIFIED before deletion. we could work together on building and correcting articles in which language and other factors are lacking. thank yo very muchAnnaadoms (talk) 02:55, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

- Gogo, consider having a look at the history Ufuoma Ejenobor. Annaadoms does not seem to grasp some of the rules here, as far as puffery, reliable sources, etc. are concerned and it's getting a bit tiresome. I mean, even if this, "She also earned a badge as the school’s Head girl 1998/99 session," were relevant, it would still need verification. We have either a fan or an autobiography. I would like your opinion
While out on my nightly patrol, I came across an odd page. I would like your opinion/decision on what should happen. The anomaly in question is Subash Sinchuari. I was going to add an A7 tag, but I checked the history. Using the very first version, [2], I wouldn't add a CSD tag (I'm more cautious than most when it to CSD tags, though). The strangest part is that the only non-bot to edit it, and cut out 95 percent of the content, is the initial author. The page isn't truly blank so neither did I tag it for G7. I'm just not sure how to handle it. CSD? Prod? If there's someone/someplace you want me to ask, lemme know. TheTito Discuss 10:07, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

May I know why you deleted the article? Thanks. 116.49.135.38 (talk) 12:17, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- The article was deleted twice back in 2009, but I did delete Talk:Amigo Choi, which you created, because you created an article in the Talk name space. I recommend that you sign up for an account so that you can create the article in the proper name space or make a request to create an article at Wikipedia:Articles for creation. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 16:48, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- No wonder. Would you mind telling which page under Articles for creation should I submit the request? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.49.135.38 (talk) 20:10, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- Why not just create a username? SchmuckyTheCat (talk)
- I second SchmuckyTheCat's suggestion. If you create an account, you can create the article yourself. But if you choose to not create an account, if you use the WP:Article Wizard, one of the last steps will let you make a Articles for Creation request in the proper place. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:31, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
- Why not just create a username? SchmuckyTheCat (talk)
- Would it be possible to have the content back so that I can create the article? 116.49.135.38 (talk) 18:17, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- I am sure there is a very good reason for you not to have a named account. SchmuckyTheCat (talk)
- If you create a user account, I would be happy to restore the talk page into your user space, but there isn't much there. You wrote a single sentence stating that she was a television presenter for TVB. The rest were category and stub templates. It is probably easier for you to just rewrite the article from scratch since it would need more than a single sentence to meet the notability guidelines. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:56, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

- Ignoring your personal attack, the article was deleted because it made no claim towards him meeting the notability guidelines for inclusion on Wikipedia. In fact, the entire article was just an Infobox template, his name, his stage name, that he is an "indie pop" artist, and where he was from. The Ouran host club page is being vandalized by people. Maybe you can block the page to keep people from vandalizing? 108.0.243.72 (talk) 05:24, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- I don't see anything recently that is vandalism. I do see some editors cutting down on the character descriptions on the main article, but I wouldn't classify that as vandalism. If you have an issue with cutting down the length of the descriptions, I recommend that you bring up the issue on the article talk page. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:02, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
If you looked at the history, there were people who wrote that Tamaki was an idiot and that Haruhi should've ended up with Hikaru. Check this link: http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Ouran_High_School_Host_Club&action=historysubmit&diff=376056585&oldid=376034810 108.0.243.72 (talk) 03:09, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- I missed the part about the "idiot". Since I don't read the manga or watch the show, I don't know anything about the interaction between characters, so I don't have enough context to understand that one character being with another is totally wrong or not. Since you appear to have either read the manga or watched the episodes, you are welcome to correct any errors. As for your original request to protect the article, I don't think that this is necessary at this time. There is very little editing activity on the article and what there is not obvious vandalism to an uninformed reader or some kind of edit war that requires intervention. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:10, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

In particular, I was annoyed at the way you seem to have speedy deleted the Legostar Galactica page without warning -- or at least, you didn't mention having given any warning in the deletion message, and I can't exactly check now. (That's really the thing I find most infuriating about deletion: it's hard for mere mortals to see for themselves whether or not an article really deserved it, unless they happen to have somehow snarfed a copy of its' entire history just before deletion...)
Anyway, in this case, it seems the page would not have met the criteria for speedy deletion if it had made a plausible claim of importance. It seems that this would have been easy to fix: the creator thinks that Legostar Galactica is the first webcomic to be made of Legos; even if he's wrong, it seems to have been among the first, and very influential. Even without a reliable source, such a claim would (if plausible) make A7 inapplicable.
Sorry to have started off so harsh, even if deletion of stuff I might have liked does tend to make me cranky... -- SamB (talk) 20:25, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Message from User:Don Jow
My page has been deleted five times thus far today, and when asked why all I receive is a link to a page I have read with less than sufficient reason for your actions. I have been told that it was deleted because the page was about a real person. This shows great hypocrisy in you considering there are hundreds, even thousands of pages on this site about people. I have been told its because I am not "important" or "significant" enough to have my own page. I would like to ask you this; who are you to judge how important or significant I am? This article has not been left up long enough to receive and editing to add substantial material, you know me on no personal level, and it is thoroughly insulting and obscene of you to judge a person based upon their financial income or time spent in front of a camera. I have also been told I did not have links to a place providing some sort of material in which you provide no explanation of what you want. I provided links in all of my material, many of which redirected the reader within this website. I put the time into writing this to you, and I expect a real response this time. Or maybe I should ask for someone famous since the only "real" people on this site are? Please, answer me. Why am I not allowed to make this page? I have followed all of your guidelines and you fail to provide me with one reason why you have acted in this way.
I thank you in advance for the un-through and un-helpful answer that I will receive.
Sincerely, Don Jow, the "not real" and "not famous enough" person. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Don Jow (talk • contribs) 18:54, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- This is Wikipedia. If you want to edit here then you must obey our policies. And frankly, you aren't important enough to be included on this encyclopedia. TEK (talk • e-mail) 19:19, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- And if you continue creating the page then you will most likely be blocked for disruptive behavior.
- Just as I thought, couldn't even take 10 seconds to respond. If you would leave the page up you might learn a thing or two. You have no right to judge me, and if you feel that me trying to make use of your website the way it was created to be is disruptive then that is your choice. You have still yet to give me one good reason other than "you are not important enough" which is a matter of opinion. I don't know where you went to school, but encyclopedias are not bias and you sir, are bias and prejudice. I ask you again for a real answer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Don Jow (talk • contribs) 19:26, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, but a Google search returned only 505 results, and most of them are probably other people with the same name. Also if you take the time to actually read our policy pages you might understand a thing or two. The "links" mean citations from a published source. Can you find anything at all to cite about yourself? If you keep the autobiography stuff to your own namespace then nobody will care. TEK (talk • e-mail) 19:41, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Actually as a matter of fact I did read it, long before obeying it. More than half of the "links" I used were from this website, and if that is not good enough for you then you should stop reading now and seriously think about your Terms. Perhaps if you looked at the page you would see that I do have "anything at all" to cite about myself. Personally I liked your hostile response better, it showed that you are actually human and your Terms are frustrating you almost as much as they frustrate me. Don Jow (talk) 19:50, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Erm. Please read WP:Citing sources and Citation. You obviously don't understand what a citation is. TEK (talk • e-mail) 19:52, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Um, you know, you really really aren't supposed to write about yourself, regardless of how notable you might be; see WP:Autobiography for details. (Of course, if someone else wrote one and somehow managed to establish your notability, I'm sure nobody would mind if you corrected the spelling of your dog's name, but other than that kind of thing ...) -- SamB (talk) 20:34, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Deleting List of real emo bands
You deleted "List of real emo bands" for an invalid reason. That page was not a duplicate of List of emo artists since the latter is done with absurd logic and looking at something very different. There's a reason the word "real" was added, as I was only putting bands rooted in hardcore. I spent hours finding about 70 bands that have a Wikipedia page already made on here and linking to them. Now I can't even recover it, let alone improve it, because you hastily deleted it for no good reason. I also had to recreate the talk page as you deleted that as I was typing my response to another user. Isn't the purpose of a talk page suppose to discuss things instead of just rapidly deleteing articles? Smk42 (talk) 22:11, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- Replied on your talk page. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:22, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
Look at the list. It's two completely different things. That poseur list essentially is "not real" emo bands. And I would have just merged mine into that one, but the problem is that article has a dictator that only allows the most absurd of edits to pass. He thinks a community college newspaper is a credible source, and clings to a site like allmusic.com that is notorious for errors. When you call him out on anything like that, he ignores it and runs away. He doesn't even respond on the talk page when you want to discuss the addition or deletion of a band. You can never get anything done with him around. Those dispute resolution procedures won't do crap. He was banned for a day too and weasled his way out of it. I've never had a problem with anyone else on here. I'm not the only one that sees his self-imposed dictatorship on certain topics. My solution to avoiding him was making new articles and ignoring his. The articles I created were done no differently from the countless articles already on this site. He purposely went after them because I made them. How is it my fault when you have someone that controls all the edits of an article and then doesn't let anyone else make their own as well? He's trying to run things here. Smk42 (talk) 22:31, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

It won't work because of the person we're dealing with. His ego is so big he refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing or incorrect actions he has done. He selectively replies to the talk pages (if he replies at all), always avoiding the issues that would force him to admit what he's doing might not be the best way. Who in their right mind scours the net for one source to use instead of relying on consensus reports? To him, ONE article that says a band is emo is better than finding 10,000 that never make any mention of it regarding that band. That's what we have going on there, and that's why I had enough and made a better page for people that actually want to see what emo bands are on here. But you deleted it, wasting a few hours of my life. Can't I at least view that material again so I can paste it to Excel or something for myself? Thanks. Smk42 (talk) 22:54, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Political Promise
Hello mate,
I want to contest your decision to delete the page about my website. It has received critical acclaim from other blogs, which I can add to the Wiki entry in order to meet the standards of 'significance'. Political Promise is a highly influential website among politically active British young people, and I would really like to discuss further how we can go about getting the page back up to scratch.
Hope you are well, Charlie Edwards

Hi. It looks likely to me that there is sockpuppetry going on at ZAP (motor company). I left a note on Jiachunhui's talk page, but then I got to thinking that the evidence might be considered to be pretty thin. Should I delete my comment? Or should I escalate this? Thanks. Well if there's a contradiction on the site, why does 'sport' get to stay over 'game'? There's already been a discussion, and no sources. There's a definition of sport on the Wikipedia sport page, which curling doesn't fit.
But whatever, I'm not going to bother wasting my time arguing anymore, you might as well lock the page and keep the biased opinions in there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spacemoney (talk • contribs) 17:17, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Hey its been a long time since I've tried to add this page. I would really like it to appear on Wikipedia, but I guess I don't understand what I need to do or change to make this possible. Could you please explain the issues with creating a page for Jemima's Witnesses? I am going to post the link to our website so you can see for yourself, and if you visit the Facebook group listed here: http://sites.google.com/site/jemimaspeople you will see we have a small but growing following of people. Galeano
Hi, yesterday I was looking for the article of Eduardo Galeano. I was not sure about his first name, so I searched Galeano and got this page. Then I tried to create a disambiguation page about it (please keep in mind that it would be a very expandable page because there are more pages here sharing that surname) but I was branded "unauthorized" (because I was editing as an IP, I guess). I spent some minutes following the so called "wizard" to eventually find it was useless (maybe I was just inept but I cannot avoid having the feeling it was otherwise). Then I saw I could leave a message in the talk page to request its creation and now I see you deleted it. The reason you gave in the summary (G8: Talk page of a deleted or non-existent page) makes me think you did not read the content of what I wrote, otherwise I find it quite puzzling and I would appreciate further explanation because I am not sure about why the deletion took place. Should I have created an account and edited the page with the disambiguation of those (or more) Galeanos, would have also been deleted? I ask this to avoid working innecessarily in case your answer is "yes". If "Galeano (disambiguation)" would not be deleted, would you undelete "Talk:Galeano (disambiguation)"?. Regards. --13:11, 2 August 2010 (UTC)~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.36.11.75 (talk)
- If you had created an account, you wouldn't have had the problem. Users editing under an IP can not create new pages as you had properly guessed, though apparently you get an "authorized" wording instead of something a little more friendly. I did miss your comment entirely. I had blindly deleted the talk page without carefully reading it. My apologies for that. I went ahead and changed Galeano to your disambiguation request instead of creating an entirely new article and added in four additional names. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 16:33, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks, Gogo Dodo. Now I see that, as an IP, I probably could have done the same thing as you did, because it seems I can edit in Galeano with no problem but unfortunately that option did not occurred to me then. In order to keep certain history integrity probably it would be a good idea to restore the deleted edition of "Talk:Galeano (disambiguation)" and move it into "Talk:Galeano". Auburn (singer)
I'm a hangon patroller, but not a sysop. After you protected Auburn (singer) someone recreated the article as Auburn(singer). It was subsequently A7 and (by me) G4 speedy nominated, but I've now confirmed that the artist in question has in fact hit the US top 100 charts (proof here), thus coming in under rule #2 at WP:BAND. I've declined both the speedy nominations and was in the process of moving it to Auburn (singer) when I discovered that you'd protected that page. Now that I know that the old article was protected, I don't like what happened (and wonder if the page creator might not be a sock to avoid the page protection), but on the basis of judging content, not editors, it appears to me that the article ought now to survive speedy deletion albeit not as Auburn(singer). Can I grit my teeth and respectfully request that you lift the protection of Auburn (singer) and move Auburn(singer) there? Best regards, TRANSPORTERMAN (TALK) 20:26, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Article: Taylor Long and recently deleted article
Hi,
I recently created an article under the title "Taylor long" with a lowercase "L".. when I noticed this I wanted the article deleted so I cleared the text and you responded with a quick delete.. very quickly. I shortly created a new article under the Title "Taylor Long" with the uppercase "L" in the last name. Now when I search in google under the name, the old article comes up in google search and when I click the link it says it's been deleted. How can I eliminate that article or existence of a prior article on that page completely from google? I would like only my new page to show up in searches, but so far the only way to access the "Taylor Long" page is by searching it in Wikipedia itself.
Please help?
Thanks! Taylor Long

Absolute upsetting
Why wouldn't you CSD Best tourist destinations of pakistan? Sure, it's not a WP:CSD reason, but what's the point of having {{delete}} then? This is obvious WP:SNOW here and pure POV/ESSAY/OR rubbish. Most admins would delete this on sight. Why won't you? (I am watching this page, so please reply here.) — Timneu22 · talk 22:05, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- I declined both CSDs because of exactly the reason you stated: WP:OR and WP:ESSAY are not valid CSD criteria. I declined the advertisement CSD tag because it is not blatant advertising either. While I agree that the AfD is likely to be closed as delete and probably even closed as WP:SNOW, trying to close the AfD early through CSD tagging will not work. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:11, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- That's bad adminship. My gosh, use WP:IAR for something obvious like this. Why are you guys so inconsistent? What's the point of having a {{delete}} template if it cannot be used? I have brought this to the attention of WT:CSD, again. These types of nonsense articles are getting tiring. — Timneu22 · talk 22:13, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- You didn't do anything wrong, so don't badger me with WP:AN. I can see by that statement that you take everything by the book. I guess you don't have the guts to use WP:IAR on something is horribly offensive to the encyclopedia's quality as this article. That's a shame. No replies needed, I'm no longer watching this page. — Timneu22 · talk 22:18, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
- You're the one who called me a bad admin. And if you think I'm all by the book, well, that's your opinion, not mine. Calling the article "horribly offensive" is very over the top. I've seen "horribly offensive" and this isn't it. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:19, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Well another admin got this right, deleting it about 19 minutes after you declined it (twice). They closed it as "unsalvageably unencyclopedic promotional essay". Imagine that. — Timneu22 · talk 10:24, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

My Article
In response to your deletion of my article covering the band Put Down Wednesday, I had thought up and listed a couple reasons explaining why my article should remain on Wikipedia (quoted from what I had added to the article):
"I, as an author of this article in collaboration with other residents of my household, have spent several days along with other individuals as we pooled together in an effort to preserve very important information about a new group of musicians from the most recent generation. I believe this article should be allowed to remain on Wikipedia for several good reasons. One reason is that this article will be continually updated and be used as a reference and source for information about these musicians throughout time in the near future, as this article will remain up-to-date and full of important points that others may need for future use (for example, a school project). Another simple reason is that since this article will be under constant watch and revision, the amount of information presented in this article will gradually increase. Put in other words, that statement basically means that although only a small amount information may seem to be available at present, I am absolutely positive that this article will blossom into a bountiful collection of information that will be very helpful to those who need access to it. Wikipedia is an astounding source of a staggering amount of information, and while having the ability to take part in adding to this collection is an amazing opportunity, I am also willing to make it my sole responsibility if necessary to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information possible about these individuals, their accomplishments, and their attributions to music. I would also like to add on another note that this content totally complies with Wikipedia's Terms of Use and does not violate any copyrighted material."

External Link - Nikola Tesla, Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, Joseph Warren
You removed an external link on each of these sites to character profiles of a book that I'm using in my classroom. The reason given for the removal was that it was historical fiction. The link was to character profiles though, not to some fictional listing, so I wanted to talk to you about this. I had looked up the External Links guidelines under What Should Be Linked and #3 applied:
3 - Sites that contain neutral and accurate material that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject and cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to copyright issues, amount of detail (such as professional athlete statistics, movie or television credits, interview transcripts, or online textbooks), or other reasons.
The content of the site is not owned by me, and is copyrighted as indicated at the bottom of the page, so it cannot be integrated. The content presented in those links is certainly not fiction.
The reason for the addition is that my students will be using both this book and WP for a book report/research lesson, so the connection was important to show how information on the internet is connected.
Thank you

Attack Page
To inform you of your mistake, that was not an attack page. The quotes on the page were direct quotes from a former Officer In Charge, in jest, in one of our never-ending discussions about Truth and Reality. The reason this page was created is because the individual in the article spends way too much time on Wikipedia. This lead to the idea of creating a page specifically for him, because it is a Marine Corps custom that when someone leaves the Marine Corps, or changes duty stations, that a lunch or dinner is thrown for them, and some sort of award is given. That award would have been the URL to the site, so that he could get a good laugh out of it, and always have something to brag about. As an individual that has completed a combat tour in Iraq, and has done quite a bit in his career, it is something out of the ordinary that he will be able to show off at his next duty station, where he will deploy to Afghanistan. So, in the interest of time, I'm asking that you not delete this page again, as we don't have the luxury of creating things over and over, and frankly, we have other duties that are more important than trying to convince Wikipedia to post an article. - I did make it work, but not until after I had broken it more and made it trigger on everything instead of nothing. :/ Having your filter catch them while I fixed the extremely stupid mistakes I made let me take my time and was very helpful, thank you very much for making it. Did you know?
You userpage is at the top of the list of pages with the most reverts. Not sure how you've managed to earn such a distinction amongst your many fans but.. why don't you just full-protect your userpage and be done with it? Or are you just starting to collect them now for fun? -- Ϫ 07:25, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- That's pretty funny. Yes, I was just collecting them for fun, but you're right, enough is enough. I think the ratio is so high because I don't exactly have the most thrilling user page here, so there isn't much to edit that isn't vandalism. Funny thing is that I'll probably be on the top for awhile since I'm still unlikely to edit my user page very often. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:28, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Changes on Hajj Page
Hello, I have put my presentation on the Hajj page and you have been taking it out. I would appreciate that you send me your comments if there is something in the presentation that you do not like - in other words the reason why you are taking the presentation out of the hajj page on wikipedia.
In all cases Wikipedia is a public domain and I would appreciate if do not remove the new material I am adding (Presentation on Hajj and Umrah).

In context of MTS India
Hi Gogo dodo,
I appreciate you pointed out that I should not put any personal view on any company in Wiki violating some clause. I would like to understand why your statement is contradictory. As you can allow a company to put false information and also providing there positives while hiding there negatives. It breaches the ethical code and can be considered as misleading consumers. If you want to put up a neutral point of view it should project both the positives and the negatives at the same time.
So would like suggest if you update any document mention both the views positive and negative points and let the user decide. And if you cant then don’t bother to destroy what a user tried to communicate to stop other users to be misled.
You will be astonished that I took the service more than a week and I am still notable to use it. And no one from the company bothers to respond to my query rather any buddies queries, the user may call them 100 of times but there response is we will ask our technician to call you up in 10hrs or maximum 24 working hrs. If you check the link below you can see it yourself.

Rangeblock question
Could you do rangeblocks on anonymous IPs? If you could, could impose a rangeblock on 202.70.54.0/24? Addresses on this range were/are being used by the notorious Indonesian vandal who puts misinformation on various articles related to (among many things) Digimon, telenovelas, and recently Little League. Recently, one of his misinformation targets is List of Little League World Series Championship Game broadcasters, again using addresses from the above range that I mentioned (i. e. 202.70.54.168, 202.70.54.178, 202.70.54.62, and 202.70.54.78). The Rojob
Hello my name is Rowan and as you may have guessed I'm the one that's been trying to post the Rojob page that you keep deleting. If your deleting the page because you think it's a joke I'd like to point that just because only a small group of people use the term doesn't make it any less valid and also Wikipedia includes pages on the wedgie and daking so just because it's a stupid act doesn't make it any less real. I fail to see how it's offensive to anyone and it's an obscure term that the vast majority of people are unlikely to look up anyway. this term is already floating around Myspace, Facebook and urban dictionary so its spread to at least a hundred people and I have searched around and been unable to find an alternative name to the act in question so i feel I have the right to name it. Thank you for reading my message if you still continue to block it please send me a reply explaining why. please allow this page to go up. User Warnings
When adding a warning template to a user page, it is advisable that you follow the following protocols:
- Use sequential warnings (ie. don't skip right to level four after three violations)
- Ensure warnings are appropriate
- Use Level 4 IM (only warning) only in the most severe cases of vandalism, or when and editor resumes vandalizing soon after release of a block.
Sorry for the nitpicking, but we can't get a vandal blocked unless four warnings are issued and the vandal continues, it's a lot like police work, the vandals can get off on a technicality if we don't nitpick.

Speedy deletion of Clark Schierle
Howdy, despite the autobiographical nature of this work I do feel (I know, that doesn't mean much) that I am "notable". Certainly as notable as Kenneth Kim my classmate, colleague of several years, whose Wikipedia entry I modeled mine after.
In addition to being a garden variety plastic surgeon like him, I was also one of the youngest people ever to attend UCLA (at age 12) and have received as many, if not more, accolades, awards, and have more publications.
That said, I respectfully understand that I may have violated some rules of Wikipedia by posting myself. Is there any way, under any circumstances that I can make my biography more palatable to the Wiki editing community?
If not, I will respect your decision. If it is merely a matter citing more stories from the lay press about me for notability, I can scan those in pretty readily.
Thanks!

Hi. I recreated this article using the article wizard and included an assertion of notability and a cite to substantial coverage in the New York Times. Can you explain why you speedy deleted it? It's a very well known travel company in the United States serving a specialized market and is alomst 60 years old. There are plenty of sources on Google News and Google Books and the family that runs the business includes the governor of Vermont. Jeeper72 (talk) 17:01, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Question about deletion of Spring Web Flow Tutorial
Hi Gogo Dodo, I created an account just so I could ask you about the deletion of the Spring Web Flow Tutorial. As someone who so far is just a user of Wikipedia, I haven't given much thought to the rules about what is appropriate for Wikipedia. I certainly haven't noticed any tutorials here. However I was Googling for a Spring Web Flow Tutorial and was disappointed that the link led to a deleted page. Is the Spring Web Flow Tutorial somewhere else, instead of in Wikipedia? I haven't been able to find a good tutorial on that subject and sure could use one. Please, any suggestions?
Also, now that I have an account, who knows, I might edit something some time. Any suggestions for a newbie? Thanks! Jeaniac Jeaniac (talk) 00:41, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

Thank you!
Thank you for the tips. How disappointing that there wasn't really a tutorial! I looked on the Spring web site first and didn't find a good tutorial there either. I love Wikipedia, and perhaps I will contribute someday in my areas of interest.Jeaniac (talk) 16:26, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

- Since your account has been blocked, I will answer you here. The article was deleted multiple times because he does not meet the notability guidelines for musicians. You say he is "a major star all over the world", but that is very unlikely since your articles states that he hasn't even released his debut album yet. Perhaps some time in the future when the album is released, it will be a hit and then he will become "a major star", but at this time, he isn't. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:40, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

To bad you do not realize the truth that I posted was information from the BBB and should allow autheticated truthful posts about Merchantcircle.com instead be a Dodo. However just Google Merchant Circle are rip off and see the people this company has ripped off. However here are a few posts from the BBB website. By the way if you visit this link http://www.trustlink.org/Reviews/MerchantCircle-206051062 you will the truth about Merchantcirlce.com. But what is your reason for allowing crooks to post lies on Wikipedia? Please tell my you call the truth vandalism, do you work for Merchantcircle.com? LOTS of talk floating around about class action lawsuits against Merchant Circle. I think the sooner Merchant Circle is out of business, the better. The are clearly basically street-punk criminals. One person wrote this review: "July 19th, 2010 at 10:07 am This is ridiculous. Here is a company that has already been sued, has over 200 complaints registed with the BBB and hides behind an endless circle of phone prompts. Not only do they have my buisiness listed without any authorization from me, but they have the wrong address, location photo and a negative review posted by someone who isnt even one of our customers. Im willing to intitiate a class action suit if anyone wants to get involved. If so, please email me at rmusk@msn.com. It time for this company to go." link: http://www.techsoapbox.com/merchantcircle-we-love-the-scum/ MerchantCircle is Complete garbage... They list sites with out concent, post private information without autorization. There are hundreds of business owners complaining of false representation by this company/wensite. why are they still around? And why is their business standing on here an A? I work for an advertising agency and continually am asked to remove listings from this site instead of advertising on it. There is no support what so ever and removal from their listings seems to be impossible. I believe a class action lawsuit is in order. This is ridiculous. Here is a company that has already been sued, has over 200 complaints registed with the BBB and hides behind an endless circle of phone prompts. Not only do they have my buisiness listed without any authorization from me, but they have the wrong address, location photo and a negative review posted by someone who isnt even one of our customers. In order to have my business listing removed I have to subscribe to thier service or take time to complete and fax a document to them. The only way to talk with a CSR direct is to use a 900 number at a charge of $35.00. It is wrong that I should have to pay to have misinformation removed from the web. Based on what I have read, it is clear that this company uses deceptive practices to enhance thier subscriber base and create fee based revenues. A class action lawsuit is in order. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheCourtoflastresort (talk • contribs) 07:29, 18 September 2010 (UTC) |

Hey
Hey - hopefully Dr. Mukesh's case is over but now I need your admin help on another issue. I have to report AyanP (talk · contribs) for his incivil manner and edit warring on Katrina Kaif. He first reverted me with an edit summary which was incivil. I warned him not start an edit war and not use inappropriate language. On the article, I cited a source for the claim that she is a British Indian. His reply was very rude. He said "I will start an edit war if you make improper edits", again attacked me personally and reverted me despite the source. I warned him once again, his reply was again very rude and he now seems to be reverting me continuously despite the source and despite being warned. Shahid • Talk2me 15:52, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

- The problem is that he is not willing to discuss. I cited a reliable source but he keeps reverting me and using incivil language, which is unacceptable without considering the dispute itself. More importantly, his next revert will be in violation of WP:3RR, so I would request you to take admin action in this case. I started a talk page discussion and notified him about that. I also warned him about the 3RR thing. Shahid • Talk2me 17:56, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

- I warned him not to start an edit war and he in return said he would. I cited a source, and he still reverted me. I now warned him again and asked him to discuss on the talk page rather than revert sourced information (BTW, this version was accepted by another user with whom I discussed the matter). Let's see if he gets it because I cannot and actually do not want to fight with someone who does not try to collaborate. I'm actually not going to revert him again because I'm well aware of rules, that's why I let you know of the situation. Thanks for your time. Shahid • Talk2me 19:22, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

barney bunch
hello, I made an article about the barney bunch, a web phenomena about barney, drew pickles, ronald mcdonald, and many other cartoon characters. This is a real phenomena, and as such, I demand my article be added back, or at least an article for the barney bunch. They are an unofficial organization, and as such proof of the barney bunch is rare, but many videos and other web content, and this website is my source, but you can see the effects of the barney bunch all over youtube. barney bunch website click here —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kiakosan (talk • contribs) 00:07, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

- Since your account has been blocked, I will answer you here. Your edits were undone or reverted because you were repeatedly attempted to add in your own name to the article in inappropriate places which is disruptive. You provided no source for any of your later claims about the 2012 movie. You claim to have written an essay about the movie, but your essay is not likely to be a reliable source. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:39, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

Page Deletion for Venom vicious
I am asking for you to restore the page for Venom vicious. I am sorry for rushing on creating the page. I will add more information to it. Okay? - You may recreate the article in main space if you can establish that he meets the notability guidelines for inclusion on Wikipedia. As the article is written now in that user space draft, it does not appear that he meets those guidelines as his album or a single from that album did not chart nationally, nor are there any reviews of the album, or coverage from reliable sources about him. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:59, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
Well, I don't want to write the article in the main space just yet. I only want to work on the article in my user space. Can you just restore the user space please. I will continue to work on the user space and add the notability guidelines later. Send me a message back please. Im not worried about doing the main article right now. I just need to restore the user one to the google page. Afro55 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Afro55 (talk • contribs) 16:16, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
