It still leaves a lot to be desired. For instance, how did cult of Vasudeva, mythological father of Krishna, morph into a cult of Krishna.

That material is not directly relevant to a section on the dating of the Gita. All that we need at the moment is an extremely concise summary of the arguments of the most prominent and reliable scholars who have written on the dating of the Gita. — goethean 18:21, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Its better to give only dates, than to give such selective information. Some information, in this case, looks worse than no information at all. Summarizing it this way clarifies nothing and adds more questions. CorrectKnowledge (talk) 18:24, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
