[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Lauren Boebert; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. – CharlesShirley (talk) 14:03, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
Notability criteria
[edit]I wanted to open a side channel of communication to explain notability criteria. I'm happy to answer your questions, and to help you formulate a better argument for keep. (And if you find a pass of notability criteria for Yannis Assael, then I will strike the !vote constituting my nomination.) Significant coverage is discussed in the WP:SIGCOV guideline. It is imprecise, but it is certain that passing mentions do not suffice, and I don't see more here. You will also want to see WP:Arguments to avoid in deletion discussions, as it sometimes sounds like you are saying WP:ILIKEIT. It is important to remember that deletion discussions are not a vote, but the closing admin will evaluate the strength of the cases for keep and for delete. - Thanks for the very useful comments Russ Woodroofe. May I ask if Greek reputable newspapers would be accepted? Thanks Glucken123 (talk) 19:18, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- Greek newspapers of record are fine. Sources need not be in English. It _is_ helpful if uninvolved editors can verify them. I see the sources that you've added to the article, and Google translate to English usually lets one get the gist. These sources don't hurt, although I still think it is short of a pass of the WP:GNG. Russ Woodroofe (talk) 10:43, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Got it, i just mentioned this to another user. I actually believe that Kathimerini's piece is promising (the one focused on Pythia) plus there is one more on LipNet too, mentioning Yannis Assael as the lead author [1]. ERT (Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation equivalent to BBC) has interviewed him twice about topics completely unrelated to Forbes 30 under 30 [2] [3]. Thoughts? I think we might be getting closer to a weak keep. Glucken123 (talk) 15:41, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
