A tag has been placed on Sons of San Paolino requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sean (Ask Me?) 22:09, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

=Declined The Giglio

[edit]
You recently made a submission to Articles for Creation. Your article has been reviewed and because some issues were found, it could not be accepted in its current form; it is now located at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Giglio. Please view your submission to see the comments left by the reviewer. Feel free to edit the submission to address the issues raised, and resubmit once you feel they have been resolved. (You can do this by adding the text {{subst:AFC submission/submit}} to the top of the article.) Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia!

This needs to be re-written to be encyclopedic. At the moment it is written in a very non-neutral manner similar to what you'd see on a promotional flyer to get people to come to a gathering. I'm also not sure that you need to go into extreme detail about every location that celebrates the Giglio. Unless each location has extremely different practices and it's considered notable (ie, multiple reliable sources about each location), it's not necessary to list the history and practices of each location. See WP:RS about what is considered to be a reliable source. It sounds like this is an encyclopedic topic, it's just not written in a manner that is considered encyclopedic. If you're curious about how something like this could be written in an encyclopedic manner, try looking at some of the various pages for religious practices, such as First Communion, Confirmation, or Marian feast days. If you are still having problems, feel free to ask some of the kind souls from Wikipedia:WikiProject Religion. They're used to writing pages in an encyclopedic manner for all kinds of different religious practices, so definitely utilize them as a resource. BTW, your pictures are absolutely gorgeous!! You should definitely keep up the good work! Tokyogirl79 (talk) 06:27, 24 November 2011 (UTC)tokyogirl79[reply]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Giglio 2010 Brooklyn.JPG.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. Stefan2 (talk) 13:45, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
