Greetings. Messages, leave here, I read.

[edit]Hello Wikipedians! I've actually been using Wikipedia for a long time as a reference. If memory serves, I discovered Wikipedia on 2003 while researching for a report on Sumer. Honestly, I've been ignoring the "anyone can edit" part of the Wikipedia slogan until I actually started giving back to Wikipedia as a wikipedian editor. It was on February 9, 2006 when I realized that if I contributed to Wikipedia, I could help the site that got me an A on that Sumer report.
Whoa, Dr Debug. How did you find me so quickly?
I'm always checking the newbie list. Dr Debug (Talk) 05:18, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
May I ask what the newbie list is?
- Sure. It is "Recent Changes" on your left and then somewhere at the top is "Newbie". Personally I like that list better because there is far less vandalism with the newbie. A newbie is a user which is less than four days old. Dr Debug (Talk) 05:33, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
- This is the direct link Special:Contributions/newbies and it shows all the updates. Dr Debug (Talk) 05:34, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
Cool. By the way, you don't like George Bush either? And there is a category on that? Wikipedians who dislike George Bush? There are categories on everything here! I am wondering how you make a category appear on the bottom of an article.

I only wrote the initial version of that article, before things got complicated with reballots and the revolution! Candidate Mykola Rohozhynskyy's name was originally spelled "Mykola Rogozhynsky" rather than in the Ukrainian transliteration, and the details were obtained from a site in Ukraine which I can't find now. It's annoying how Wikipedia's popularity means its contents get copied all over the web so that it's extremely difficult to find other sources after a couple of years. The original site I used doesn't appear to be still online, so I'm at a loss as to how to verify the information! http://elections.ukrinform.com/candidate.php?c=25&lang=en has some biographical information on him, http://elections.ukrinform.com/article.php?lang=en&a=412 shows he got 0.03% of the total number of votes in the first round, which I've seen somewhere else was a little over 10,200 votes. -- Arwel (talk) 01:00, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- Your message on my talk page was related to this as well, right? It just means that we are not sure whether everything in the article is correct, but Arwel can't verify it and I can't so we are just going to leave the message until somebody verifies all the information. It is no big deal either. It just means that the story might not be 100% correct. Dr Debug (Talk) 03:20, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Glitch. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Glitch~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
