(talk page stalker) AmblinX, the article's history clearly shows that you are the one warring, with two users reverting your addition of an obviously unreliable source. IceWelder [] 17:54, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Cyberpunk 2077 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
The conversation was taken to the talk page, at which point you should have stopped reverting the edit and actually participated in the conversation, yet you still elected to continue your reversions. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 09:29, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:46, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

November 2020

Information icon Hello, I'm Wallyfromdilbert. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Tenet (film), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. To provide a little more explanation, the cited Observer source only mentions a $400 million break even point. The mention of $450 and both mentions of $500 million are about what the studio hopes it makes, not about the break even point. Take care.wallyfromdilbert (talk) 20:07, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Cognissonance reported by User:Wallyfromdilbert (Result: ). Thank you. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 13:35, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Cognissonance. It appears you are likely to be blocked for continuing the war. (The argument is that you have a general pattern of ignoring talk page consensus, and it's not just a problem on the Tenet (film) article). There might be a chance for you to avoid this if you will promise not to edit the article for two weeks. EdJohnston (talk) 20:22, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring at Tenet (film)

[edit]
Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

The full report is at the edit warring noticeboard. EdJohnston (talk) 00:16, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I don't care about the genres anymore, so the block is unnecessary. Cognissonance (talk) 04:07, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

Decline reason:

That doesn't mean that you will refrain from edit warring on another topic in the future. Please describe how you will handle a future editing dispute. 331dot (talk) 10:36, 8 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Cyberpunk

[edit]

I'm curious about your blanket restoration to the development and release section of Cyberpunk. The section as it was had several structural issues (IE: no introductory paragraph, only split into two large paragraphs) and a lot of the release sections seemed to excessively describe trailers to an inappropriate degree. The one thing I can think of is that I removed a couple listings of middleware companies that you may have objected too. But otherwise I really don't see why you felt the need to undo my work on the sections. --Deathawk (talk) 08:52, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits suck, that's why I revert them. Cognissonance (talk) 07:31, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm here to say both versions have some serious issues, but that Cognissonance approach to resolving this is terrible. Considering you've just gotten blocked for edit warring that you seem to be continuing to engage in, this type of response to someone reaching out about edits you disagree on is unacceptable. Moderate your approach to editing or you may not be doing so for much longer. -- ferret (talk) 14:57, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@EdJohnston: As the prior blocking admin, I wanted to draw your attention to this, the apparent on going issues still at Tenet, and the numerous level 3 and 4 warnings about edit warring and disruptive behavior, including at Cyberpunk 2077. Warnings in regards to both articles seem to go back for nearly a year, including numerous AN3 reports. -- ferret (talk) 14:59, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring at Tenet (film) again

[edit]

You have reverted a valuable addition to this article twice already, against two separate editors.[1][2] Please stop edit warring at this article, or your next block is likely to be more substantial. Debresser (talk) 10:25, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Personal attack in edit summary at Cyberpunk 2077

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 4 days for Personal attacks. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Per this edit summary, 'revert disruptive edits'. Combine that with 'your edits suck, that's why I revert them', just above on this talk page. EdJohnston (talk) 05:47, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Are you doing okay?

[edit]

We've all been under enormous stress the last 9-12 months. I know my editing and communication with other editors has suffered due to real-world stress. There are times I have to step away from the keyboard and relax. There's also been at least a couple of times recently where I wish I had.

Anyhow, I hope you have as good a Christmas as possible under in these weird, hopefully "once-in-a-lifetime," circumstances we are all living through. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 17:27, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
