Speedy deletion nomination of "Rebecca Masisak"
[edit]A tag has been placed on "Rebecca Masisak" requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi Glenn. You may want to take a look at some of the wikipedia policy pages, particularly Biography of Living Persons and notability guidelines. If you think she is notable and can establish that, the article will need to be moved from "Rebecca Masisak" to Rebecca Masisak - if you need help doing that and can establish notability, please feel free to leave a note on my talk page at User Talk:Zelse81 and I'll gladly lend a hand. Good luck and welcome to Wikipedia. Zelse81 (talk) 00:31, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

More on Rebecca
[edit]If Techsoup is a notable company (I do notice that it generates over 500k google hits compared to 1/10th that for Rebecca), you may prefer to create a page for it instead of Rebecca, as it may be easier for you to establish the notability of the corporation versus one of its workers and you seem to be knowledgeable regarding the subject. [edit]Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Daniel Ben-Horin may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Just to be aware
[edit]Hello Glenn. Following your question at the Commons helpdesk, I just wanted to highlight the guidelines on conflict of interest. It is unclear if anyone has pointed this out to you but it is worth reading through the guidelines before you make any edits to certain articles. I'm certain that you are a bona fide editor but we have a continuing problem with people editing something in good faith but inadvertently opening themselves to accusations of conflict of interest. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions. Green Giant supports NonFreeWiki (talk) 09:26, 9 April 2014 (UTC)
Hi Glenn, I have asked for some help at Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard#Rebecca_Masisak to ensure someone has an independent check of the article and may advise you further on how to manage conflict of interest. Thanks --Fæ (talk) 09:04, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
Conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Glennhirsch. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 00:51, 4 February 2015 (UTC)
Recent changes
[edit]Hi Glenn. If you have any questions about my recent changes to TechSoup Global, Daniel Ben-Horin, or Rebecca Masisak, please don't hesitate to ask. --Dr. Fleischman (talk) 18:31, 6 February 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
