List of Puerto Ricans

[edit]

Thank you for your contributions, however the names of Loyda Garcia and Ivan Avila have been removed because neither are notable people. This is an encyclopedia which clearly states that the list should contain the names of persons who meet the pre-established Notability criteria, even if the person does not have an article yet. Additions to the list must be listed in the section which best describes the field for which the person is most notable and in alphabetical order by surname. Each addition to the list must also provide a reliable verifiable source which cites the person's notability and/or the person's link to Puerto Rico, otherwise the name will be removed.

Since none of your additions meet the minimum requirements, they have been removed. Thank you Tony the Marine (talk) 16:36, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you for your response. You see my friend that is where you are wrong, if you take a closer look at the list you will realize that it includes the names of Puerto Ricans who have made contributions in the fields of Education, Journalism, Science, Military, Politics, Religion, Civil rights, Literature and so on, not only entertainers. If the people whose names you added had made significant contributions to our society, there would be more the enough information with reliable verifiable sources and then they could be placed in the "Science and Physicians" sections alongside the other illustre Boricuas. But, until then we have rules to follow. Take care. Tony the Marine (talk) 16:56, 8 February 2012 (UTC) Tony the Marine (talk) 16:56, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
