Use of primary sources
[edit]As I said in my previous edit, you should avoid using primary sources in articles, and write articles from a neutral point of view. An article should neither disparage or praise its subject. Primary sources, such as somebody's personal website generally cannot be trusted to be neutral, so secondary sources are preferred. Additionally, while you said you updated information based on Fatima Deryan's website, you did not actually provide a reference. Claims in articles must be backed up by reliable sources, especially in articles about living people. Please see WP:CITE on how to add references. Third, if you are Fatima Deryan or work for her, that presents a Conflict of interest, which you must declare. Please check this page on how to do that, thank you. - I am Fatima Deryan. The information is provided about me on the page is wrong.
- This is my website www.timaderyan.com
- Please guide me on how to have the correct information otherwise please just take down the page. Gipsy2022 (talk) 18:39, 24 April 2022 (UTC)
- I have provided a few links in regard to citing sources and declaring a conflict of interest, which you may find helpful. Since you are the subject of the article you intend to edit, you must declare the conflict of interest. At this link, you will find a template that you can use to declare the conflict of interest. That being said, I am not a regular editor of articles about people. You can bring issues up at Talk:Fatima Deryan and ask for more advice at the Teahouse.
