Re: Leaving out the LSD sentence of the Steve Jobs bio...Do we really want to encourage all the "Steve Jobs Want-to-be"s to do illegal drugs? Well cited but irresponsible considering stats about his influence on young people. The counter culture sentence (from the same source) should be sufficient to get the point across without the explicit encouragement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.183.178.85 (talk) 20:22, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thing is, Wikipedia isn't censored merely because it may make others do things, or for "niceness' sake". If kiddies end up acting like him and do illegal drugs, it's their responsibility. GB86 20:25, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Why would we want it in there when the following sentence suffices...other than to promote illegal drugs. His page on Wikipedia is the first that shows up when one Googles Steve Jobs...he is the most looked to man on the earth among young people trying to succeed....why this irresponsible quote needs to be in when the very next quote relays the same point in general terms seems only at the pleasure of the dead beat druggies that want to exploit young people, not for the good of anyone....you're certainly censoring me for my opinion to delete it, yes?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.183.178.85 (talk) 20:40, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
We can't make Steve Jobs' page look all shiny just because people like to be him, that would conflict with Wikipedia's intention of having a neutral point of view which includes criticism that may very well be controversial. Everyone's got their good and bad side and having some criticisms is what gives the article more of a balanced perspective. GB86 20:54, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for tossing your name in the ring for adminship. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be the necessary show of support for your candidacy, so I have closed your RfA early per WP:NOTNOW. Please do not let this discourage you, however. I strongly encourage you to review the comments which were made and use them to improve your future chances should you choose to try again. You may consider admin coaching to help you prepare. I also strongly recommend reading and becoming very familiar with the guide to requests for adminship, all of the linked pages on the admin's reading list, and the admin's how-to guide. Good luck, and thank you again for running. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 17:11, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
