King Kong
Hi, I noticed you made an edit to King Kong (1933 film) which named the dinosaur as an Elasmosaur, and referenced the book The Making of King Kong. This is really good because we have discussing for a long time that none of the dinosaurs listed in the Wikipedia article have a source, it has just been peoples "best guess". If you happen to own the book, do you know if "The Making of King Kong" mentions any other dinosaurs by name? Does it say anything more about the Elasmosaur? Thanks! -- Stbalbach 14:21, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I noticed from User talk:RGTraynor page that you know a lot about the history of the Quebec Bulldogs. I've been trying to find what home arenas they played and some information on the arenas (seating capacity, opened/closed dates, etc). From Total Hockey 2, they say they played at the Quebec Skating Club Rink starting in 1891, but don't give a closing date. In the sports encyclopedia page, it states they played in the original Colissee de Quebec starting in 1910. Do you know which is correct? Do you have information on either or both venues? Thanks in advance for any help! Patken4 15:29, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
From what I gathered, Quebec played at the Quebec Skating Rink from 1891-1912/13. They then moved into the Quebec Arena where they played from 1913/14-1919/20. There was never an original Colissee. It was built in the 1950's and renovated in the 1980's.
I'm not sure where they played prior to 1891.Giantdevilfish 19:45, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

King Kong vs. Godzilla
First, I added the note because whether it is called "trivia" or "notes", a section that consists entirely of disparate facts is not considered encyclopedic by the Wikipedia. Please read WP:TRIV to get some idea of why these sections are not a good idea. While naturally all the information in the notes section should be factual, so should all content, even that marked trivia. But it is better to find a place to integrate these facts into the main body of the article, rather than list them as "trivia" or "notes". For example, much of the information in KKvG's "notes" section could be moved into a section called "Production". Another section called "Reaction" could cover a lot more. Then, perhaps a segment on its "Legacy". You see what I'm getting at?
Secondly, for some reason, you placed your note to me in one of my Archive pages. Leaving messages there will not result in my getting a notice of a new message. Be sure to put messages on the main talk page in the future and not inside an archive. Rhindle The Red 23:48, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- I have now implemented changes more in line with what I was talking about. Take a look and you'll see what kind of adjustments are needed to remove trivia sections. Rhindle The Red 13:38, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't see a clear place for that quote. If you see a good place for it, go ahead and put it back in. Rhindle The Red 17:07, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Optronic Eye
If he keeps adding it, just request a source. Without a source, it has no place in the article. Sourced, it is a valid piece of information (if poorly written in the form that I saw). Rhindle The Red 13:28, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I still stand by what I said. If it's just one guy trying to promote his own agenda, he'd never be able to supply a legitimate source and the material would not stand. But if he's adding it to other pages (and they are deleting it), it's probably safe to just revert him. (Try to avoid the three revert rule.) Rhindle The Red 00:22, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
It's definitely not notable enough for inclusion. Like Rhindle The Red said, he's probably breaking the 3RR rule, in which case you should report him at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/3RR (although leaving a message on his talk page first wouldn't be a bad idea). Good luck and happy editing! --Daniel Olsen 01:12, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
I've decided to leave the project
My Userpage has why. Hope you never encounter this kind of situation. Ex-Nintendo Employee 23:57, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
I don't even know you. Why would you send me an announcement that you are leaving?Giantdevilfish 00:22, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Blocking?
Blocking admin: Pascal.Tesson (talk • autoblocks • blocks) Administrator use only: Replace this template with one of the following as notification. Users should note that they CANNOT unblock themselves.
It says I've been blocked again. What gives? Apparently some guy named Sorgens Kammer 666 has been banned and its been affecting me. Giantdevilfish 01:13, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
Why does this keep happening? Every time I'm unblocked by an Admin, I get blocked again a few hours later?Giantdevilfish 01:52, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- A vandal is currently operating from your (presumably shared) IP address. I'll try changing a setting, hopefully that particular account won't hit you again. --Yamla 02:28, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
MedCab
There is an ongoing discussion at Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2007-06-26 List of Mario series enemies, and you are listed as an involved party there. Would it be okay, if you would like to be involved in the mediation there, if I mediate the case? Cool Bluetalk to me 20:06, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Quebec Bulldogs (2)
It is not a GA or FA. I think it can be changed to officially the Quebec HC, officially the Quebec Athletic Club when they entered the NHL as you suggest. You can cite the url. It is not the last word, but it is getting closer to the truth. The Farrell book of 1899 may have more info. I'll check the PDF. Alaney2k (talk) 13:44, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- The Farrell book lists them as the Quebec Hockey Club in the text. I'll add that as a cite. Alaney2k (talk) 13:51, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
