New message from Illusion Flame

[edit]

You are invited to join the discussion at Draft talk:LUCY Outreach. Illusion Flame (talk) 22:32, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As the page is deleted, and I don't know if you saw what was said there, I wanted to follow up here to ensure that it reached you. Firstly, as you stated you work for the organization, that would count as paid editing. While that's not forbidden, paid editors are required to make disclosures that they are being paid and by whom, as detailed here. You're clearly not trying to hide that, so it's just a question of using the correct format. However, the more salient point is that Wikipedia is not for promotion of anyone or anything, and certainly not to give anyone "exposure". If your goal is to "get the word out" and talk up your organization, please use a more appropriate venue such as a website for the organization and/or social media. That won't be permitted here. That was pretty much the points made by Illusion Flame. Schminnte (talk contribs) 23:41, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Certainly, IllusionFlame was quite correct. But there's no way to know if they had a chance to read that before the page was deleted, so I wanted to make sure it got put somewhere that wouldn't be. Seraphimblade Talk to me 00:46, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
