[edit]Hi Ghostboy1997. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for BIG Star Most Entertaining Actor in a Romantic Role - Female, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion, proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. AfC tagging
[edit]Thanks for tagging that AfC submission just now, which I won't name for obvious reasons. Two points: you tagged it {{db-person}}, i.e. A7, but that (like all the A tags) applies only to articles. An AfC submission doesn't count as an article; one that doesn't show importance should be left to be declined by the reviewer, who can advise the author how to improve it. However, the contents of this one included "...is really ugly and dumb." That puts it into the attack-page category, to be speedy-tagged {{db-attack}} (or {{db-g10}} for rapid attention, and the author given {{subst:uw-attack}}. Keep up the good work! Regards, JohnCD (talk) 18:54, 5 June 2013 (UTC)
Page protection at Noah Cyrus
[edit]Hi, I have removed the protection templates you added as the page is not protected. If you want to get a page protected you need to requested it at WP:RFPP. However, looking at the page history I don't think it is needed and pages are not normally preemptively protected just because someone is a celebrity.Sarahj2107 (talk) 13:45, 6 June 2013 (UTC)

Seyed Mohammad Mousavi
[edit]Hello. I've reverted the speedy tag you added to Seyed Mohammad Mousavi, as the article clearly asserts notability, saying that he has played professionally in the Iran Premier Football League. Please also remember to sign your posts to talk pages, and this is especially important when notifying editors of article deletions. Thanks, Captain Conundrum (talk) 01:10, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
AFD nominations
[edit]As DGG has already noted above, your AFD nominations for the obviously notable Nicko Williams and Mirkot were made without a proper understanding of notability criteria. Please stop making AFD nominations. Thank you. Captain Conundrum (talk) 02:37, 9 June 2013 (UTC) Im sorry that I added the afd nominations, if I were able to remove them, I would.
- Ghostboy1997, simply edit the AfDs, saying that you withdraw the nominations, and sign with four tildes "~~~~". And please stop and study our policies and guidelines. Your recent edits have shown that you still need to learn a lot. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 03:13, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Hello again, Ghostboy1997,
Why have you proposed deletion of User:Susumo Azano? This is a user page, not a main space article. Therefore, CSD A7 does not apply. The "A" stands for "article". Please stop trying to delete material until you understand our policies and guidelines much better. Thank you. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 06:46, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
Warning
[edit]This is a warning. If you continue improper deletion attempts, as you did at User:Susumo Azano, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 06:50, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

[edit]I'm sorry that you cannot go back to see it, since it has been deleted, but when you reviewed the page Rapael J. Mercado, which was a long autobiography with a giant picture of him and an account of his not particularly notable career in the most ridiculously extravagant terms, you merely tagged it refimprove, stub and linkrot I don't think a 4kB bio is in any sense a stub, and linkrot and refimprove were the least of its problems. (Another admin had speedy deleted it already, which you could have seen in the edit history, which you should always check when tagging something as unacceptable as this) I did, and protected against recreation and blocked the ed. as an advertising only account.
Most of the many comments on your reviewing here have been for your tagging for deletion when not appropriate. It is equally important not to miss at least the most extreme promotionalism, and the most glaringly inappropriate articles generally.
You have been continuing to make comments without signing them; you have been adding inappropriate tags, like the refimprove for .Urusovite. We judge refs by their quality, not their number. You have been adding inappropriate tags and missing the major issues: Katarynka is not a stub. but it is a non-encyclopedic plot summary and gives no indication of possible notability. (It is in fact notable, because the author is famous, but needs links and context. I will work on it a little, if I can find a source I can read.) For [[:Strength of the Sword 3], you merely added a tag for stub--but there is no element at all that indicates any possible notability, & no third person references.. I've listed it for prod as it doesn't really fit within A7. For Nakisawame what was needed was a link to the Japanese article, which I added. I do not read Japanese, but I got the page name from the edit history, & the characters can be copy-pasted. (There is no reference because the ed. apparently considers that giving the sources where the name appears in the first sentence is sufficient. It might be, I've changed the tag to citation style, because for the enWP, we want some more details.)~~
I am going to this degree of detail in commenting because I see the impressive amount of work you are doing, most of which is very helpful. But your error rate is considerably too high, and what concerns me more, is that it is not showing the degree of improvement that would be expected. On the basis of my many years of experience as a teacher I suggest that it would help to go very slowly, checking every possibility, and then checking it once more before you press "save". Read the article, not just look at it. Examine the edit history. Consider what are the most pressing problems, and consider specifically the best tags to use. It would also help if you created a few short articles yourself., or substantially add to a few stubs. DGG ( talk ) 06:50, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

[edit]I was trying to create an infobox but pretty much figured I didn't know how to do it. Sorry for the trouble. Okheric (talk) 02:07, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
You left two messages on my talk page about this entry - the first said it was an article about a living person (it's clearly about a song!) the second said the article didn't say why it was notable (it mentioned that it featured in a film and was sung by Al Jolson and other notable artists). I appreciate that it lacks categories and references, but I only created it a few minutes ago!
I'm sorry. I removed the person templete. Thank you for noticeing that.Ghostboy1997 (talk) 02:49, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
- both problems show you are not actually reading or thinking about the article--adding the A7 tag indicates wither you still thought the article was about a person, or you didn't know that A7 does not apply to songs--quite aprt from not readingc arefully enough to see there was unmistakable notability.
- and here's another case where you did not read the article: you put a translation eeed tag on this version of Ivan Kamenec. But the page is already in English. The titles of his many books are in Slovak , which is the language one would expect a Slovak historian working in Slovakia to use. It also does not need additional sources for verification. There's a source for thie prize, there's a source for the list of publications, and the cv is a source for the basic bio, (Nor does it need additional citation for notability : notability under WP:PROF is adequately shown. )
- as another sort of problem, for St Clemens Basilica you should have seen it was linked to a German article. Looking, there, it is not necessary to read German to tell it;s a major church and the article is referenced. The correct tag to put on the article would have been {{Expand German|Basilika St. Clemens}} Since I do read German, I added some of the information, but left it tagged for further work.
- These sort of errors are confusing other people and making net work for them. They also detract from the value of your work, because someone could reasonably thing--f someone is this obviously careless, what about their other tagging? Now, I've checked, and most of your tagging is OK. But you must be more careful. Better 5 articles tagged right, than 10 tagged sloppily. DGG ( talk ) 16:14, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
Ivan Kamenec - translation
[edit]Hi, can you help me to understand what kind of translation is expected for article about Ivan Kamenec? The only one non-English part is list of his publications. Thx. --Ditinili (talk) 04:05, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Camp Eagle (summer camp)
[edit]Hello Ghostboy1997,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Camp Eagle (summer camp) for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:12, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Operation HOPE
[edit]For the concern that this is a promotion page, it's not. It's information ABOUT Operation HOPE. How do you propose I edit?
IlyaTMonroe (talk) 18:15, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for asking. To add a reliable source, go to google and find a page that talks about Operation HOPE. Their website is not a reliable source. Wikipedia is strict about this. Make sure your article looks like this: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Familypedia
Not this:
Hello. This is their website. It has lots of stuff in it.
Ask me if you have any more questions and ill be happy to help. To help you out I have added one reliable source. And I removed the deletion tag. Ghostboy1997 (talk) 18:21, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
