- Sorry. What you proposed for Vladimir Putin is quite a good/interesting idea. Just I have only little time. If you have any questions, I will try to help. You state your English is Intermediate. It seems to me your English language is better. Yet, if any problems, again I'll try to help, or, many users here may correct language better than me, e.g. you can discuss the thing at Wikipedia:Reference_desk/Language. ellol 22:52, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Just, get accustomed to 2 ideas: 1) Wikipedia is a community of people united with one idea, so ask people easily, 2) You can do all you want. Correctly and explaining reasons. Just may be you don't understand it yet. ellol 23:04, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Just my idea, after you refine translation you can move it to Foreign Policy. ellol 23:05, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you. :) I did that. -Ghoort 09:21, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Unacceptable
[edit]When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.
Also, this is unacceptable behavior. And please try to use English language in wp:en. Thanks. ←Humus sapiens ну? 22:45, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- Ok. But I do not know translation of Russian word гнида. Ghoort 22:50, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- We do not use obscenities here. ←Humus sapiens ну? 22:59, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- It is not obscenity. Kovalev was such named in a public. It is just a part of his biography. Ghoort 23:06, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for confirming (:ru:en:)
[edit]... in the discussion on the Medal For the Victory Over Germany page. The Russian text, taken from a photo of this medal, was transcribed by a native-speaking colleague familiar with the history of the WWII period, though I'd neglected to proofread before posting. -- Deborahjay 10:15, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
