Why did you move ECW World Championship to ECW World Heavyweight Championship? The article was previously located at the "Heavyweight" article and was moved to ECW World Championship after WWE began using that name for the title. This was actually discussed and approved by an administrator (who performed the move, as it as impossible due to the presence of ECW World Championship as a redirect at the time). Jeff Silvers 01:06, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

True, and I can see why that would cause confusion, but the name as it's displayed on the belt is rarely used as the definitive "official" name for the title. If that were true, the article would actually be called "ECW World Heavyweight Wrestling Championship." Jeff Silvers 00:11, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok fair enough, WWE are never very clear about anything anyway :-)

AfD nomination of ECW Most Extreme Player

[edit]

An editor has nominated ECW Most Extreme Player, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ECW Most Extreme Player and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. NickelShoe (Talk) 02:44, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Brian P Houghton

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Brian P Houghton, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. pablo : ... hablo ... 09:39, 14 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves

[edit]

Please don't perform page moves without forming a consensus first. Thank you. -- bulletproof 3:16 11:17, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Again please read the above comment. Its best that all memebers of WP:PW be involved in forming a consensus before the page is moved. Cheers. -- bulletproof 3:16 16:31, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Youngest user

[edit]

I have heard of burucrats and admins being as young as 11. I don't think you are the youngest even if the above statement is taken with a grain of salt. --Kannie | talk 19:46, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Amy perry requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Paste Let’s have a chat. 11:07, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter message

[edit]

It has recently been brought to the attention of WP:PW that the newsletter is being to delivered to several users who have not been actively editing for several months. As a result, their talk pages have become increasingly large, unmanageable and slow to load due to a lack of archiving.
In response, this message is being sent to all editors listed in Category:WikiProject Professional wrestling participants to say that anyone who does not list their name at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active before May 16 will be automatically listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, and will no longer receive the newsletter or any notification of it. If you are added to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, please feel free to remove your name if you desire.
If you wish to continue receiving the newsletter as normal, please add your name to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active. If you simply wish to receive notification of a new issue, but not have the full newsletter delivered to your talk page, please add your name to the notification only list.
If you have any queries please contact me at my talk page or leave a message at WT:PW. Thank you for your co-operation. ♥NiciVampireHeart00:36, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Distant Memories – Live in London has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails the requirements of WP:NALBUM. Setlist.fm and Amazon are not acceptable or reliable secondary sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
