Hello. Please do not contribute irrelevant info to Wikipedia articles. Info about jQuery and Gmail go to their respective article, not an irrelevant article like Internet Explorer 8. Doing so is forbidden per WP:NOTADVERT. By the way, when a reviewer contests your contribution, please do not reinstate them without discussing with him or her first. For more information, please see WP:BRD. Best regards, 06:38, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
- Genhuan, Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. We do not list every piece of software that does not work with Internet Explorer 8 in that article just because that piece of software has something to with Web. (We don't even list the software that support Internet Explorer 8 unless there is a good reason.) And as Lisa told you, you must not return your change when it is reverted unless you discuss with the reviewer and obtain consensus. If you continue to respond revert with another edit, you may be blocked for edit warring. Discuss with Lisa and if you are not satisfied, consult WP:DR to find out what to do next. - It does not matter. jQuery is a separate piece of software; whatever its developers do hardly concerns Internet Explorer 8 or you. So, are Google Apps and Gmail. Per WP:SYNTH, it is not up to you to say "Software A is outdated because Software B does not support it." 06:11, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
Voltage maps
[edit]Regarding your changes to Mains electricity by country and Mains electricity. Addition of such maps has been discussed before and the consensus was to remove them, eg see https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Mains_electricity_by_country/Archive_2#Maps_of_world_usage_of_plugs.2C_voltage_and_frequency
The map has no proper sourcing and claims only to be based on the article itself in 2009, that is a very out of date version. Maps are not are a good way of attempting to present such complex information and serve only to add useless junk to an article. Please do not attempt to re-add such maps. - You have been reverted twice. If you wish to discuss this further please do so on the article talk page, not my talk page, so that other editors may respond.. FF-UK (talk) 11:32, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The article Vibe.d has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Does not meet WP:GNG and WP:NSOFT. Since this software wasn't officially released yet, it might be WP:TOOSOON for an article. There are no WP:RS yet since all sources come directly from the developers of this software so are not independent.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Anton.bersh (talk) 08:50, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
