Speedy deletion nomination of Abanny
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Abanny requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Johnj1995 (talk) 17:58, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, Gbolahan300. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Abanny, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Dclemens1971 (talk) 22:39, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Abanny, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. In particular, you added several sources prove no claims in the article: The Britannica definition of mathematics to validate your degree in math, a link to the homepage of your supposed digital marketing school (an inappropriate WP:REFSPAM link), and links to the homepages of Nigerian local governments and a news homepage ([1], [2], [3]) that cannot validate a claim that This song became popular in various Nigerian cities.

- Please can you help me edit the citation needed for abanny 102.89.22.69 (talk) 14:59, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
- The problem is not editing the citation. The problem is that the citations do not validate what the article claims. For example, you cannot use the homepage of Lagos State University to validate a claim that Abanny graduated from this school. You need to find a reliable source that confirms Abanny graduated from this school. (Also, if you are Gbolahan300, please log in. See WP:LOGOUT.) Dclemens1971 (talk) 15:13, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
- Okay… since I don’t have any source that Abanny graduated from this school, can I just remove it from the article? 102.89.22.69 (talk) 15:20, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
- hi, please kindly remove detetion tag from Abanny’s article 102.89.34.221 (talk) 19:31, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
- I didn't place the tag, so I can't remove it (and I wouldn't even if I could since this subject fails WP:N and frankly WP:V). Dclemens1971 (talk) 19:45, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
- Kindly note that I only edit the citation needed 102.89.34.221 (talk) 19:56, 7 January 2025 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Abanny, you may be blocked from editing. Dclemens1971 (talk) 14:54, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
Please do not use misleading edit summaries when making changes to Wikipedia pages. This behavior is viewed as disruptive, and continuation may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. TornadoLGS (talk) 20:36, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for your contributions to Abanny. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Josey Wales Parley 23:17, 6 January 2025 (UTC)

Hello Gbolahan300, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Abanny, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abanny.
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SunDawn}}
