Regarding Speedy Deletion
Hello, GarethMabs. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia.
I'm sorry, but this has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD#G11. "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to conform with Wikipedia:NOTFORPROMOTION." These must be rewritten from scratch from "reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject." See WP:RS. For more information on my criteria for deleting under G11, click User:Dlohcierekim/promo
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.

Hello I am part of Triplehelixwargames.co.uk what were the infringements of Wikipedia policy?

This page exists https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wargaming_%28company%29 we are doing nothing different, as far as I can see, what is the difference?

Thanks GarethMabs (talk) 13:50, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

1) Wikipedia is not a venue for promotion. 2) Thanks for sharing about your conflict of interest. Please read WP:PAID. There are requirements there you must fulfill.Dlohcierekim (talk) 13:55, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dlohcierekim (talk) would you be kind enough to point out where the user page for the contributor at https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wargaming_%28company%29 is located as I cannot see any evidence of How To Disclose on the actual page itself. Also I do not understand why the sandbox page was deleted prior to my being able to make my page or user page compliant to the requirements of How To Disclose , was it immediately deleted? Seems harsh.

disclose at User:GarethMabs and at the talk page of any article you wish to edit. As the article was deleted under WP:CSD#G11, it needs a total rewrite. Also, you are encouraged to suggest edits on article talk pages rather than making actual edits.Dlohcierekim (talk) 14:48, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dlohcierekim (talk)On that basis, will page https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wargaming_%28company%29 be deleted on the basis of WP:CSD#G11. This is just so that I can make myself familiar with the requirements of WP:CSD#G11 as currently I am bewildered and confused. Thanks GarethMabs (talk) 15:10, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not a bad idea. I'll look into it'Dlohcierekim (talk) 15:12, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dlohcierekim (talk)Ok great, so as an example in order for a page to comply with the requirements of WP:CSD#G11. I can create an article which talks about Wargaming as a topic, but cannot include any external links, unless to reference material of some description? I am new to Wikipedia and it appears to be paved with technicalities. Thanks GarethMabs (talk) 15:21, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Amen to that (technicalities). Yes, external links need to only be to article sources, and should be used to WP:cite content. The template template:citeweb makes it a lot easier. just fill in the info after the "-" signs. It will also create footnote style citations.Dlohcierekim (talk) 17:24, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

HiDlohcierekim (talk) Can you clarify this point? "you are encouraged to suggest edits on article talk pages rather than making actual edits" GarethMabs (talk) 20:12, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
