Welcome!

Hello, Gamecockryan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as John Ross Palmer, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on John Ross Palmer, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. E. Fokker (talk) 20:23, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edits Coming

[edit]

I can improve this I'm just hoping the page won't be hastily deleted. He's legit it's just that the most easly accessible forum for informatin is of course on his own website (that has been the same active domain for over a decade). I'll keep trying thanks for patience.Gamecockryan (talk) 21:11, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Gamecockryan[reply]

New Credible Sources Added

[edit]

In addition to citing to Palmer's artist website, I have added additional sources of verification of his notability including articles from the Houston Living Guide and the Museum of Cultural Arts Houston. I've cited to the website of Belinda Smith, one of his 2009 inaugural Escapist artists. The references going to Twitter and Facebook serve to add credibility to his notability based on number of followers and activity, etc. If you suggest that's not wise and seems like a promotion just let me know I can find further credible references for the same information. You can see from the link to the My Houston campaign that was named as a member to an extremely notable group of A-Listers including Beyonce Knowles and the elder Bushes. The inclusion came from the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau.Gamecockryan (talk) 21:40, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Gamecockryan[reply]
