If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Crowe & Dunlevy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bazj (talk) 17:22, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion templates from articles you have written yourself. That said, the article is not blatant advertising, but it does read very much like marketing material. It remains inappropriately promotional and is not written as would be appropriate for an article in an encyclopedia: it looks more like a business directory listing. An encyclopedia article should focus on the company's history and notable accomplishments over time, notable firm members and the like. Current "best of" listings and ranking services are poor-quality references: newspapers and feature articles focusing on the firm are much better. Bulleted lists, are, in particular, a problem: encyclopedias shouldn't have them, and they lend themselves to marketing creep. Prose is much better and forces one to write in a more appropriate manner. Acroterion (talk) 17:48, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Crowe_and_Dunlevy

[edit]

Hello Gail.huneryager11,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Crowe_and_Dunlevy for deletion, because it seems to be an advertisement, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, - Jorgath (talk) (contribs) 20:13, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
