Gravity! Orbitation-Spin?

[edit]

How do tv communication satalites float in space without crashing to earth? Why does the moon not fly off?

Objects fall to earth at the same speed?, all this does not make sense. Paul Garry Griffiths) gafferuk

If astronaughts "FLOAT" in space, then there is no gravity in space. So whats the moon doing? Very confusing :)

It may be that each planet or moon is held in a gravity ring and between these rings is no gravity. Our moon goes around our earth collecting dust. Just an idea, once our moon becomes too big for its gravity ring, will it move to another ring or fly off? Can a moon become a planet? Is our earth from another solar system? Or was earth once one of jupiters moons? Is this going too far? Or do they get too big they fall apart?

Or it may be gravity has no effect on planet and moon orbits, it's the spin of the planet/moon which "bends enertia". There must be something else though, for a moon to orbit a planet and the planet to orbit a star. Paul Garry Griffiths. 24 oct 2009.

It may be a case of there is gravity from the sun and lets say a space ship has thrusted and stoped its engine in reverse to stop it in motion. It is not really in a stoped state but it's force is counter reacting to the suns gravity producing a virtual like stoped state. Energy is never losed.--Gafferuk (talk) 01:49, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
