Unknown Soldier

[edit]

Hey Gabriel. :) Thanks so much for contributing your photos and adding them to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier article, they make the article much more interesting and readable. Cheers, Madmagic 11:45, Apr 25, 2004 (UTC)

No problem. Sometime I'll have to go through some of my other photos to see what I can contribute... but I'm a lazy guy so that will take a while! ;) Like this response!

Ottowa Memorial

[edit]

Well done for this ! A curate's egg 19:38, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I'm starting to feel like some sort of war memorial weirdo... honest I really don't hang out at all the war memorials in Ottawa! ;) Gabe 19:38, 8 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Robert Borden

[edit]

Hello Gabriel. I rewrote Borden's early life based on Robert Craig Brown's two volume biography of Borden. There is no mention whatsoever of Canning Nova Scotia. Borden spent his early life in Grand Pré, Kentville and Halifax according to Brown.--BrentS 16:54, 1 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

French is not my forte

[edit]

I came across your profile by accident but I happen to be in discussion with a french astronomer who maintains the catalogue of extra solar planets, and I could use your help, if you have the time and inclination. He tries to reply but misses all of my points and I don't want to assume he is doing it deliberately.

Gabriel Diderick Velasquez

Oh, just in case you think I seem to have no problem, that's Babelfish's translation.

A tag has been placed on File:Cdntomboftheunknownsoldier2.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. HMCS Sackville radar

[edit]

Hi! I'm writing an article on the Type 271 radar, and I'm wondering if you might have a closer image of the 271 on the Sackville somewhere? Some of the ones you uploaded already work well, but perhaps you have a close-up? Maury Markowitz (talk) 21:02, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Us embassy.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused, low-res, no obvious use. Better files at c:Category:490 Sussex Drive.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
