Connection with Rüdiger Schöttle Gallery ?
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. Given the nature of your edits, I am wondering what your connection is to the Rüdiger Schöttle Gallery and the artists it represents. Netherzone (talk) 14:24, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- Having read the COI policy I, as a new editor, understand the mistake made with the editing of pages. With this policy in mind, I, as an editor, will not repeat the same mistakes and will strictly comply with Wikipedia's policy. Consequently, I will no longer make changes to other Wikipedia pages that may compromise other users and readers, being more careful when editing our own Wikipedia page and publishing only information with encyclopedic content. [edit] As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to [[:Rüdiger Schöttle Gallery]], give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:GRS München, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=GRS München|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Please respond as to your connection to Rüdiger Schöttle Gallery and the artists they represent. Netherzone (talk) 19:36, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
- Provide a new username.
To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.
Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 19:59, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Speedy deletion nomination of Rüdiger Schöttle Gallery

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Rüdiger Schöttle Gallery, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Netherzone (talk) 20:04, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

Galerie Schoettle | The person who is editing our profile is the founder of the gallery. In the spirit of expanding the history of the gallery and given its importance in the history of contemporary art, we want to share the information on a non-profit basis.
Decline reason:
You exactly may not do that. See WP:COI. Further, Wikipedia accounts are for the use of one person. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 15:16, 25 July 2023 (UTC)

- Rudiger Schottle Gallery, this does not make sense at all because your gallery is NOT a not-for-profit gallery, it is a commercial gallery that IS for profit.
- By "sharing information" about the artists you represent you are marketing/publicising them in the encyclopedia. Creating an article on your own gallery is like using the encyclopedia as free advertising. I would suggest that you read our policies and guidelines more carefully. Request to reconsider the blocking of my account

Request reason:
A few months ago I published an article on wikipedia, without realizing that the content was against Wikipedia's rules, as the article contained advertising. Since I have realized my mistake and will avoid at all costs to misuse Wikipedia in the future, I would also like to contribute to the community in articles related to art without making any advertising, as it is also a subject that I am passionate about. Therefore, I ask again to unblock my account, as I recognized the misuse of the platform and I did properly inform myself of the rules. GRS München (talk) 14:41, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
It's going to be difficult for you to edit about art as art falls squarely within your conflict of interest. As art is a broad topic area, it will likely depend on which aspects of art you want to edit about and how you will do so consistent with policy. You'll need to explain that in a new request. 331dot (talk) 00:11, 9 March 2024 (UTC)

Request to reconsider the unblocking of my user account

Request reason:
Dear Wikipedia Administrators, As a final request, I am writing once again to appeal for the unblocking of my user account on Wikipedia. My account was blocked due to a violation of Wikipedia's rules regarding self-promotion. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disruption this may have caused to the community. I want to clarify that the violation occurred inadvertently, as I was unaware of Wikipedia's strict policies against promoting personal or commercial interests. In my previous edits, I mentioned my art gallery without realizing that it constituted marketing or self-promotion, as my only intention was to contribute to the community about Munichs contemporary art scene. I now understand that Wikipedia aims to maintain neutrality and integrity by prohibiting any form of promotion or advertising within its articles or user contributions. I assure you that this was a mistake, and I am committed to adhering strictly to Wikipedia's guidelines going forward. I value the principles of collaboration and knowledge-sharing that Wikipedia stands for, and I recognize the importance of maintaining a neutral and unbiased platform for information dissemination. Furthermore, I want to emphasize my genuine desire to contribute to the Wikipedia community by sharing knowledge and information related to art. While I understand that promoting my own art gallery is not allowed, I am eager to contribute to articles and topics within the realm of art that do not relate to me, the gallery or related artists. I am passionate about art and believe that I can make meaningful contributions to Wikipedia's coverage of art history, techniques, artists, and related subjects. I have taken the time to familiarize myself thoroughly with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, including those related to conflict of interest and self-promotion. I am dedicated to contributing constructively to Wikipedia by providing accurate and reliable information, while also respecting the community's standards and norms. Once again I sincerely apologize for any disruption caused by my previous actions and respectfully request that my user account be unblocked. I assure you that I will conduct myself in accordance with Wikipedia's rules and guidelines from this point forward. Thank you for considering my appeal. I look forward to the opportunity to continue contributing positively to the Wikipedia community. GRS München (talk) 10:46, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
