Your submission at Articles for creation: Arrest of Billy Hood (December 14)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Scope creep was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: It is very well known that you can't take any kind of drugs into the middle east if your seeking work, such that if your caught you will get done for drug traffic. That is a universal law for the islamic societies in the middle-east, so trying to pass something off, particularly when it is almost trope, is really unacceptable. It is not news and has been an iron law for more 100 years. It is a clear WP:BLP1E.

Standard cryptocurrency/blockchain notice

[edit]
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose discretionary sanctions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

David Gerard (talk) 13:26, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @David Gerard:, thanks for this notice. I do wish to provide as much information as possible in the cryptocurrency field and try to do it from as much of a neutral point of view as possible. Having reviewed WP:CRYPCUR there doesn't seem to be a standard to follow in terms of guidelines on reliable sources. WP:RS is what I have been following and assumed that any decent-looking WP:SECONDARY sources which significantly cover the topic are considered reliable sources. Is there any more info I can school myself on regarding this? Thanks, GR86 (📱) 11:41, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Notability (cryptocurrencies) should be of use. It's an essay, not an official guideline, but it does a good job setting out the consensus around sources. JaggedHamster (talk) 21:17, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve StrikeX

[edit]

Hello, GR86,

Thank you for creating StrikeX.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Most of the references appear to be press releases, or by Joe Jowett. We need independent secondary sources.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Stuartyeates}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

HipHopCanada moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, HipHopCanada, is not suitable as written to remain published. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 23:24, 17 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ITN recognition for Takeoff (rapper)

[edit]

On 2 November 2022, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Takeoff (rapper), which you nominated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. Stephen 04:57, 2 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Screenshot overwrite

[edit]

I reverted your overwrite of the Everipedia screenshot. An IQ.Wiki screenshot should be a different file name if there is a fair use rationale for including one. VQuakr (talk) 21:51, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/TwinTurbo. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
