Welcome to Wikipedia! You might want to find a less provocative username. When you signed up, users are requested not to select a controversial name, or that of a celebrity. User:GOD probably qualifies as both. -- Karada 23:37, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks. Maybe. GOD is an acronym. -GOD
Indeed, the nature and high quality of your edits so far suggests that you are likely an experienced Wikipedian already. Perhaps you already have a more appropriate username? Wesley 03:27, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks. No. -GOD
Since you seem to focus on religion-related articles, I do think the username is slightly inappropriate. Please consider changing it (and refer to WP:RfC#Choice_of_username) dab (ᛏ) 09:13, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Is the issue that I can win simply by argumentum ad verecundiam? GOD is more humble than that. -GOD
- You explain that GOD is short for "Good Ol' Dude aka GOD" and that "it is not to be confused with God. Thank you." However you also state on this page that "GOD is an acronym." That being the case, then according to Wikipedia standards your acronym should be "God" and not "GOD" and because ol' is an abreviation like "rock 'n' roll" then perhaps your username should be "Go'd", or just plain "Gd" which is far more acceptable. On the other hand you could put everyone out of their religious misery by calling yourself "GoodOlDude" and then everyone would understand your POV as being a plain speaking good old boy. Re: Your chosen username
[edit]Hello. Just wanna give you a friendly reminder that Wikipedians are recommended to avoid using names of religious figures as the username, and your username is very similar to "God". Please note that "Fairly or unfairly, the line between acceptable and unacceptable user names is drawn by those who find the username inappropriate, not by the creator of the name." (from Wikipedia:Username#Inappropriate usernames. You may want to read the whole page before responding at Wikipedia:Requests for comment#Choice of username.) Thanks. -- PFHLai 02:53, 2005 Mar 22 (UTC)
- You may have a point. How does one proceed with changing the name of GOD. -GOD 02:59, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Please see Wikipedia:Changing username. Mind you, the queue over there is rather long. :-(
- Happy editing.

The article Herb Asher has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Insufficient notability for WP:Academic
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:47, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

"Age of Plastics" listed at Redirects for discussion
[edit]An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Age of Plastics. Since you had some involvement with the Age of Plastics redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. Steel1943 (talk) 16:17, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
