Welcome!

Hello, G2musicgroup, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you edited was Wild Ones (song), which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. It is also worth noting that Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which specifically link them to one company or corporation. If your username does have such a name, it would be advisable for you to request a change of username.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! You can also just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Sarah (talk) 04:18, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Helly Luv requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Helly Luv, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages ISIS and ISIL. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Username: Wikipedia accounts are for individuals only, so accounts whose names are the names of companies or groups are not permitted. Your username may be related to your real name or not, as you choose (see WP:REALNAME for some consideration. A username of the form "Robert at G2" is acceptable, and would serve to make your affiliation clear.
Conflict of interest: your edits have been almost entirely to do with Helly Luv, who is signed to your group. Wikipedia is not for advertising or promotion of any kind. Even with an individual account, in relation to her you have a Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and should not write about her here. Please read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. JohnCD (talk) 14:35, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I was not aware my username was a problem. I worked so long and hard on this project for a celebrity. I do not work for Mr. G2 I am a fan of him and Helly Luv work. She is the voice of Kurdistan! Please please please help G2musicgroup (talk) 11:03, 12 August 2014 (UTC)

Decline reason:

As the editor has placed both a "retired" banner, and attempted to request deletion of this page, this request is moot. Note, however: if you ever intend to edit Wikipedia in the future - either anonymously, or as a userid, you WILL need to deal with this block first the panda ₯’ 11:36, 24 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your new name is fine ... we love real names, as you can probably guess from mine. But we do want to know your thoughts on the following:

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 20:01, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Here is some advice, which may help you answer Daniel's questions:
There was a big problem with what you posted: the text was substantially copied from Helly Luv's own website and her Faceboook page. Since you do not work for G2 and are only a fan, you presumably did not write that text, and so do not own the copyright. Even if you did, Wikipedia cannot accept anything already published unless a formal copyright release is made. Please read Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
It is very seldom worth making a copyright release in this sort of case: it is unlikely that Facebook/website material would be suitable for an encyclopedia article, because of its promotional and gossipy tone. Wikipedia is not a Facebook/Myspace/Last.fm type of site where people tell the world about themselves. I have to explain this so often that I have written User:JohnCD/Not a noticeboard to explain the issues.
I became involved with this because another user, William Allen Simpson (talk), made a request at WP:UND#Helly Luv to undelete several drafts so that their histories could be merged. When I discovered that they were all largely copyright violations, I moved the latest and best-referenced one to Draft:Helly Luv and removed all the copyright text, leaving the references and images, as a basis for him to construct an article. If and when you are unblocked, you are welcome to help with that, but you must write in your own words, not copy text from elsewhere, and you should be careful to write from a WP:Neutral point of view, simply describing what she has achieved, and not attempting to "sell" her. The fact that you are a fan should not come through to the reader. Read WP:Your first article for advice. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:50, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry I do understand these questions and concerns. I did not mean to violate your rules. This is my first article and I tried to learn as much as I could about the community. I even took the introduction class to learn about the software. In life you can never become great at something if you don't make mistakes. This is a mistake that i made in an effort to spread the word about Helly Luv's accomplishments as Kurdistan's only and best international artist. Especially with the things that are happening in my country Kurdistan. I beg of you please give me a chance to make this right. I would love to work with William Allen Simpson (talk) to make this article the way it should be.--G2musicgroup (talk) 22:49, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It is not clear from your response that you understand that Wikipedia is not intended for promotion. Wikipedia is not a social media platform where fans can promote their favorite artists. It is an encyclopedia that deals with topics from a neutral point of view without advocacy of a particular position. From your previous edits and statements it seems that you are only here for one purpose and that that purpose is at odds with Wikipedia's goals. --Daniel(talk) 21:32, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Helly Luv

[edit]

Hello, G2musicgroup. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Helly Luv".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion.
