Welcome

[edit]

Hello, G.AC, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Thanks very much, I appreciate, but would you mind if I asked why I get this at this particular point in time, when I've ben a member of wikipedia since september 2005?-G.AC, 23:00 (GMT), 15 June 2006

Just a minor thing, G.AC. Please don't edit old comments on talk pages, especially when they've been replied to, unless it's a minor issue like a typo. It's usually better to make an additional comment even if it's short. As for the belated welcome, boy, I try to hit the redlinked users but they're almost always brand new -- I don't think I've ever seen someone get one so many months after registration! But how often did you edit during that time? I work off my watchlist, personally. --Dhartung | Talk 10:05, 2 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edited? Loads of times during that period, when I was helping out with LOST.

Oh yeah, and I won't be editing old comments, sorry about that. G.AC 06:44, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
