About differential entropy - relation to estimator error

[edit]

Hi, I see you wrote this part https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Differential_entropy#Relation_to_estimator_error

and I think there is a mistake there. Let's say if X hat = X, then the expected sq error is 0. To make the right hand side 0 you need the entropy of X to be negative infinity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.225.93.168 (talk) 08:23, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Fourier series into Convolution theorem. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:11, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work everywhere, but especially at Fourier Series. I started to tackle it yesterday, but got frustrated, and quit. Bob K (talk) 17:47, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Autocorrelation matrix

[edit]

I saw that you rewrote the Autocorrelation matrix article. I'm not sure that "The autocorrelation matrix is a Toeplitz matrix." (listed as the 2nd property under https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Autocorrelation_matrix#Properties) is true in general so I'm going to remove that part. Can you confirm this is correct?
