Hey

[edit]

Copyright is complicated. All the photos you've uploaded to Commons have to be deleted. If you find a photo on someone else's website, don't put it on Commons unless you know the exact reason it's properly licensed - and "I can access it" doesn't count. Hi! Thanks for the wake-up call, I haven't been the best editor in terms of providing images thus far, but hey, you learn from your mistakes. I've spent a rather large part of my day (since I've been sick and have stayed home from work and school) researching Wikipedia's guidelines on licensing, and am taking the steps to replace any images that were removed, and I judge still necessary, with images that stay within the guidelines, such as making them myself or gaining the proper permissions. I've been lazy and taking images straight from the internet, but I can assure that it won't be a reoccurring theme. Funrastic 18:47, 3 October 2023 (EST)
Just to be clear - the photo of Zaga Mendez... you took that yourself? DS (talk) 05:02, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To be fair, it was a friend of mine who took it. The photo is theirs and it can used for any commercial purpose, so they gave the photo to me for the Wikipedia article. She's the only QS deputy they have a photo of though, so I can't really replace the other ones. My friend doesn't have a page or anything, but should I put them as the original author regardless? Yes, and have your friend send in a release via Commons:VRT. DS (talk) 15:49, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perfect, thank you for your help! I'll have them do it as soon as possible. Funrastic (talk) 19:27, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ministry of Education (Quebec)

[edit]

I reverted your edits to Ministry of Education (Quebec) because the subject fails GNG and NCORP. The article relies too much on government sources, not independent of the subject. Please gather consensus on the applicable talk page and follow the directions at WP:SPINOUT. Chris Troutman (talk) 00:14, 22 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
