Hi Funinfundus, here are some thoughts about your sandbox:

  • I'd trim phrases like "That said,..." as it comes across as a little too informal/conversational. I think the meaning of your sentence comes across just fine without it.
  • There's a suggested layout here for writing about medical tests. It recommends the first section as "types". I think you could do this: Have a section titled "types" and then have hCG and Ultrasound as your two subsections
  • The lead should be a synopsis of the rest of the article. You talk about early pregnancy factor (EPF) in the lead, but I'm not seeing that content mentioned in the rest of the article. You should think about where you could add this content in the body of the article or remove it from the lead.
  • The accuracy section cites a systematic review that is more than 20 years old. The ideal Wikipedia medical source is no older than 5 years. I'd see if you can find a more updated source
  • For the first time you use a unit, you should spell it out with the abbreviations in parentheses. Then you can use the abbreviated version from then on (mIU/mL)
  • This paragraph lacks citations:

Spurious evaporation lines may appear on many home pregnancy tests if read after the suggested 3–5 minute window or reaction time, independent of an actual pregnancy. False positives may also appear on tests used past their expiration date.

  • The first paragraph of the History section is lacking citations
  • "Radioimmunoassays require sophisticated apparatus and special radiation precautions and are expensive." citation needed here
  • I think your Table 1 might need to be reconfigured? Unclear what the bottom row is supposed to be. Should it just be one row?

Those are all the thoughts I have! Let me know if you have questions. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 21:30, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
