If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Corre (professional wrestling), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ⒺⓋⒾⓁⒼⓄⒽⒶⓃ 02:59, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Yoav Goren

[edit]

Hello FreshCorp619,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Yoav Goren for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, heather walls (talk) 22:54, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Werieth (talk) 12:58, 9 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Blessed Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nike (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). File:City logo 2012.svg missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 09:56, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, FreshCorp619. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, St. Rose of Lima Catholic School (Toronto), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Barney the barney barney (talk) 17:03, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, FreshCorp619,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether St. Rose of Lima Catholic School (Toronto) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/St. Rose of Lima Catholic School (Toronto) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Removing AfD template

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with St. Rose of Lima Catholic School (Toronto). Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot  t • c »  23:27, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, FreshCorp619, and thank you for your contributions!

An article you worked on St. Albert Catholic School, appears to be directly copied from http://www.crystalinks.com/magnus.html. Please take a minute to make sure that the text is freely licensed and properly attributed as a reference, otherwise the article may be deleted.

It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on St. Albert Catholic School if necessary. MadmanBot (talk) 14:26, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Don't remove AFD tags

You don't WP:OWN pages and the content you add must abide by WP:POLICY. It's fairly clear that per WP:OUTCOMES that primary schools are generally deleted or redirected, so it would be helpful if you didn't create articles on them in the first place. "Bill 30" Schools ?

[edit]

What, pray tell, is a Bill 30 school? I've lived in Ontario all my life and never heard the term before. There is no mention of the term in Education in Ontario. Please explain, PKT(alk) 21:49, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response. It's a very obscure reference, affecting a small number of schools. Don't be surprised if other editors don't know what Bill 30 was, and somebody could possibly undo your work. PKT(alk) 22:22, 28 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:BCNHS Admin Staff 2013.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:BCNHS Admin Staff 2013.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:53, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Toronto schools template

[edit]

I really like what you did at the template. My two cents: One thing that should be noted, "public" - "Catholic" - "French Public" - "French Catholic" are all actually public school systems, as they are all publicly funded. I wish there was a better way than saying Public vs Catholic/Separate and French vs French Catholic. But that seems to be the "colloquial" and even legislative terminology, in my opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Notwillywanka (talkcontribs) 18:26, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Pringdale Gardens Junior Public School, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://schoolweb.tdsb.on.ca/pringdalegardens/AboutUs/OurHistory.aspx.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 19:56, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Michael Power-St. Joseph HS - Vincent Massey CI.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Michael Power-St. Joseph HS - Vincent Massey CI.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Noted. For future reference though, I have noticed people sometimes copypaste pieces then try to rewrite it, as you say. That's the wrong way to go about writing an article, since you're always going to end up having some close paraphrasing issues. Writing it fresh and then making sure the sources say what the article says is the best way to avoid any future copyright issues. Wizardman 16:46, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Note on copying content

[edit]

Hello FreshCorp619, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.

The contributor copyright page for you is opened Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/FreshCorp619. You will not receive individual notices of which articles are blanked, as this will be noted at that page. You would be very welcome to rewrite the articles that are blanked, and I believe that page you link will be very helpful to you. You may not restore them in the meantime. The process for rewriting is described in the notices you received above and in the template now blanking all or part of the contents on the page. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:12, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds like a good idea. CCIs can sit for some time, and getting assistance with that can speed their processing and make sure that the articles are copyright compliant for further development. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:13, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The blanked pages include instructions for where and how to rewrite. You need to rewrite content you've added from scratch so that you don't wind up against restoring copy-pasted material as you did at History of Toronto Catholic District School Board:
Source text Article text
Last night, TCDSB - the province's largest Catholic school board, serving 93,000 students - passed a motion indicating its intention to sign on to the Memorandum of Understanding reached between the Ministry of Education and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA). Once signed, this locally bargained agreement will protect the classroom experience while meeting the board's fiscal targets.[6] However in 2012, despite union woes in 2003 and 2006, TCDSB passed a motion indicating its intention to sign on to the Memorandum of Understanding reached between the Ministry of Education and the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA). Once signed, this locally bargained agreement will protect the classroom experience while meeting the board's fiscal targets.
This is not the way we handle copyrighted information.
The only reason I didn't block you for continuing to violate copyright after User:Wizardman's clear warning above is that you seem to be working in good faith. I still believe that, in spite of your irritation earlier, but it's really important that you take the time and do this right. You cannot restore copied content to any article except as permitted by policy. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:07, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Thank you. That was close, but the CCI link is only used when a contributor has broadly copied content sufficient that a CCI is open for them. In this case, it looks like a representative of the school pasted the content without verifying copyright license, which is indeed a violation of our policies.

One problem, though, with your processing there is that if you blank an article for copyright issues you are required to notify the contributor (unless they are undergoing a CCI, in which case they are aware of the problem) and also to list the article for processing by administrators. A bot takes care of the latter if you forget (and it's no longer necessary, since I've expedited cleanup). I've alerted the person who pasted the content with a different notice, since they are likely to related to the subject. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:48, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I may if I get time, but I'm already busily at work at copyright cleanup. :) We have a tremendous backlog at the copyright problems board, and I'm addressing listings there right now. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:17, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Monsignor Fraser College requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 20:45, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Yoav Goren has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Insufficient notability for WP:MUS, WP:COMPOSER

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on File:Bishop Marrocco-Thomas Merton CSS - West Park SS.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Non-free rationale for File:BCS Logo 1963.svg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:BCS Logo 1963.svg.

A tag has been placed on South East Year Round Alternative Centre, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 13:22, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Blockbuster Kennedy.JPG or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks!
